aps doesnt release all the info, that i believe.
that must be one hell of a car.
how in the world do you get any traction, i have the same tires, in 275/35-19, with my slow aps single, i get almost no traction at peak boost.

a mod'd cobra is notorious for massive inconsistency in their runs... dont blame the dyno! those are cars suffer from massive heat soak. I used to do 03 cobra dyno days and i used to have to let them cool down forever, and even then they were horribly inconsistent... that type of setup just suffers from very inconsistent temps. A non-braking dynojet 248 is a very simple device... and i mean VERY simple... there is no room for inconsistency beyond the vehicle. The most simple of cars, Hondas, will dyno withing a couple tenths of a HP from pull to pull on a 248.
I think APS might be using the flowing to hit their high numbers.

Well if you say they (cobras) are inconsistent, fine.. But heat soak was not that issue, as the FIRST run when the car was cool, was lower. But 50 rwhp more.. When the car was cool on both runs.. Intresting I suppose.
And yes, racing a 9.8 sec car from a roll ( which had more mods since that run ), and being even with it, also is just a little more that shows his power levles.
And yeah, he IS still rich at 22psi, still 10.5:1 is some areas. Was 9.0:1 before tuning, and when he raced those cars.

Ohh and yeah I herd about that car....
Apparently the customer took it from Teds to robs, and rob messed with the tune. It was running lower boost, and pinging on the dyno ( robs ) when it wasnt doing to on Teds.. I do think the car went back to Teds and he fixed it.
This, is just what I was told.

Gman, would it not be adviseable to just lower your fuel pressure a tad, at least for the time being? Like one or two psi? The reason I ask is because I'm running sub in the 10's at WOT and was thinking about doing so.

I tried lowering the fuel pressure when I was running rich on my 2nd motor. I was running 9.9 a/f or maybe lower (the PLX only goes down to 9.9). I lowered the fuel pressure 2psi and it went into the 10's. 2 days after running with lower fuel pressure the car started going into the 12.'s. After that I raised the fuel pressure back up. I am not going to chance anything this time around. I can wait two more weeks for the V-pro and put all my problems to rest.
Hm, Ted said the customer said Rob did change the tune? Why did he bring it BACK to Ted again if he didnt trust him then?
Why running rich? Lol not by choice. It was rich the first time because after the next wave of mods it onlly had a street tune. Then, while tuning it on the dyno, all of the surrounding companys came over holding their ears, telling Ted to shut the car down because they couldnt hear a thing. It will be leaned out some more when the time comes.

People keep spending money with him for a reason lol... He does great work, regardless of what some may think. He also sells and installs more APS kits then you could even imagine. At HIN he had 10 cars there, all with very satisfied customers, all saying the cars run beautifully, all saying it drives like stock in the low end, with GOBS of power when the gas is put down ant any time. Not to mention everytime I walk in his shop, nearly every car in there is TT
Not to mention, he probably has the closest ties with APS out of anyone in the US for the 350Z market.

I met Bri yesturday..... He seemed to be very happy with his car, and with Ted. Perhaps he could "shed some light" ? Bri is even thinking of doing a build my like Marins soon, with Ted..
Seems you are implying Bri is not happy... I'm having a lot of trouble believing this, and wondering if he wasnt happy, why in the world would he take it to Ted for a crazy engine build up.

Im not going to turn this thread into a BS thread about what I think about Ted and his shop. Members here already know what he did to me and how I feel about him. All you have to do is do a search under my name about Ted, Scotts. So Im done with the bickering. Enjoy your car, I know I would!!!
