jimquest:

Do you have photo's of the TN Cat position, or the custom reverse Y pipe.

Those would be interesting.

I like the Idea of having a CAT in the loop with your TN ST 5AT. Please let us know how you fair on a "Sniffer Test". Most of the Catless TN ST's do smell bad. ( notice how I avoided the oprative word.. )

The amount of power (RWHP) is more than adequate for a "Freeway Flyer".
Enjoy,

Cheers Amy -

Please keep us posted.

Default Cat

Hi Amy,
I'll try to take some pictures next time the car is on the lift & will keep everyone posted. Yes, it's definitely fun to drive & the power is more than sufficient for my needs. Also, I was able to resolve rev. limiter issue on AT mode at WOT by having Technosquare raise it to 7100 rpm. So far so good, might not need the valve body upgrade after all. Best regards.
Thanks,
Jeff

Im confused. The TN flash is supposed to raise the limiter to 7100 but you had to have Technosquare raise it?

It does...perhaps they only raised it in manual mode? Jim could you confirm that? If they need to do it on both settings let me know and I will have them correct that ASAP.

Mia,
You may need to confirm w/ TN as my original ECU on manual mode was already reflashed to 7100 by Technosuare even before I even had my TN kit. I was hitting the rev. limiter at auto mode when I initially got the car after the TN install. So I went back to Technosquare to have my AF adjusted as well as have my rev. limit raised at auto mode to 7100. If TN does, it may be only at 6800 & not to 7100. I really did not try it anymore once it hit the rev. limiter.
Thanks,
Jeff

You did have Turbonetics flash the ECU though right? I'll follow up with them. I know they specifically said the ECU reflash for 5ATs set the rev limiter to 7100.

OK. I'm checking with the design engineer over there right now. If its not set to 7100 in both modes it will be soon.

im seriously considering getting the TN kit for 5AT (i have an Auto) but im concerned about what exhaust to get right now. I want one thats as quiet at the Stillen or Borla but both are TD and apparently not fit for single turbo set-ups. any help appreciated.

True duals will work with the TN by having a reverse Y pipe installed. I have an Injen angled exhaust & it worked. Here is the thread on it & a pic from Kelly's car of the Y pipe.

As far as the aftermarket exhaust choice, a lot of TN owners here have done it. You may just want to check around on which one will satisfy your needs.

Well the crossover pipe is different due to the difference in bell housings. Aside from that nothing but the flash...

Nice to see another AT Turbo'd Z! The AT with over 500+ is quite amazing because its extremely linear without having a clutch release of pressure... quite scary lol
