Default 350ZNV - Project Double Down New Dyno 3/3/06

Thought you folks would enjoy this New Dyno after adding the

SVRTechnology 3 Inch Exhaust. We were at JWT this afternoon right before going to the track.

We are on our way to the Redline Time Attack at California Speedway with this Z and Eagle1's G.

M

Yep! Literally the only thing we changed was the exhaust from Kinetix TPs and Injen SES to the SVRTech 3" system! overZealous1 really knows what he's doing!!!

Are you Complaining??? What really matters is maintaining over 450 FT/LBS the whole trip...A new ZO6 makes 479 FT/LBs Peak Torque...

Leaving and on my way with your Beauty MB...See you in the morning.

The Haters are going to love this one for sure...Your car is too much to handle at 14 PSI, We will run it at 10 PSI making around 470 RWHP and 550 FT/LBS.

Thanks Jim and Clark....

Holy sweet mother of.... That's insane torque numbers. Next thing you could save up to do to the car is get all of Amuse's dry carbon parts to shave 400lbs off the car and call that project triple down haha.

What is up with that curve? Did you spray, have a boost spike, or did you spin the wheels on the dyno? That just doesn't look right...

i would like to know what causes the spike too, is the turbo overshooting its mark or what? the numbers are VERY impressive but that huge bump makes the overall curve look unusual.

That curve looks bogus to me. Definitely something going on there, such as wheel spin. Without it, the tq would be around 600ft-lbs, which would be great but more reasonable than the present advertised figures.

Thanks for your questions!

We didn't use a boost controller and simply used a bleed off manual turn valve to control the PSI. It spiked at ONE BAR then tapered 1-2 PSI of boost before maintaining integrity. Regardless, WE ARE HAPPY that the curve stays over 450 FT/LBS throughout the entire power band. This isn't the first time we hit over 600 FT/LBS so you need not be too concerned.

I tried using the car on a DynoJet the same day....TOO MUCH torque and we couldn't strap her down hard enough and we kept slipping. In addition, the Traction Control/SLIP kept going crazy. So NO GO...we went over to JWT, took the wheels off and used the DynoPak.

Thank Clark and Jim Wolf for the torque and the use of these AWESOME Garrett GT28s.

Thanks again.

Wow thats a crazy torque curve. 690 lb/ft is no joke, VRT is gaining in reputation despite the rocky start on the boards.

ok, i went back to the old dyno before the exhaust to look at the torque gain since this graph has the boost spike. so at 10psi before you were 470hp and 466 tq. now you say it is 470hp and 550tq at 10psi!!! just trying to figure out exactly what the exhaust did. if the latter is true i need to see, lol. also, the first dyno says he was on 103 octane. so this dyno was on pump gas?
