got a line on the service manual yet? lol it really isn't that hard. the crank gear came off on mine with very light prying. i didn't need a puller. the cam timing is easy and hard to mess up if you do EXACTLY what is in the manuals. if you don't have those sheets, you better be an expert in motors and cam timing to guess it.

I tried a couple of pry bars, but mine was really tight, and only came half-way off, before I ran out of prying room. So the pulley puller make quick work of it.....luckily one of the machanics at CP Racing had a really nice one.

Let me know if you dont get the manual. As for the crank pully. I had a buddy over the night I took two off of two motors. I was like shiet! I forgot to get the puller! My buddy just laughed. He said watch me take em off. I was like whatever. He worked them side to side and in about a couple min they were both off. I was shocked.

Talked to a different dealership today. they said that it would take them 15 hours to time my car and put the cover back on and the acc back on. does this seam a little high. it only took about 3-4 hours to break it down. just wondering bc thats 1200 bucks but they said that they would take pictures and give me in writting that they key broke and i can take that to nissan since nissan would not warranty my car. i think that this would be the best route and i can recoup my money through nissan plus some for the hassle from the dealership and nissan screwing me. funny that the dealership that denied the warranty didnt even look at the car. nissan will learn not to try and screw its customers.

Take a picture of how you timed it. Take one of how you lined up the cams then one at the crank.

The dealership is taking all of the pictures they said that he would have to take the spark plugs to make sure the timing is right and it would take about 10 hrs to time it.

All i know is that i will have proff that my motor is not blown and that the dealership and nissan was wrong. you just cant turn a customer away bc you dont want to mess with it. i'll teach them somthing about customer service.

After they take the pictures post them here... but it has to be in the original timing position in order to tell if its correct.

They told me that it is easier to put a new motor in than to re-time me car.

Unbelievable. Anyways, $1200 for the job to be done CORRECTLY, is a little pricey, but within reason. I say, bite the bullet and do it. What's this crap about having to remove the spark plugs. I didnt realize its was several hundred dollars extra to remove the plugs.
