I have posted this up before, but thought I would post a little more about this problem. I got my Vortech SC installed back in May of last year. As soon as I left the install shop, I noticed that my temp **** had to be turned to the extreme lowest setting before any cold air would blow out. This is still the case this year. Then, over the winter, I noticed that the heat would ONLY start blowing AFTER the car started rolling. After it began to blow hot air, it would continue to work properly until I got back in it another day. It just would not blow hot until after I started driving the car. I kow some guys said something about air in the lines or some other stuff which I have not checked. Im too lazy!!
Then yesterday, I notice that the AC is doing the same thing. It blew hot air until I began to move the car. Then it gets cold. Anyone know what this may be or what may be causing this for both the heat and AC? It is not that big of a deal, but it is one of those things that sux right at start up.
I have also had 3 instances of the needle on my temp gauge running up to just below the hot area on the gauge. It does not seem to change if I turn the AC or heat off. It started running hot yesterday on a road course I was running with the guys from Z1 Motorsports. I ran about 12-15 laps on a 1.3 mile road course when I noticed that my needle was just below the hot area. So I got off the track and did not run it anymore. I let it cool for about 30 minutes before I left the event to go eat. The temp was normal for almost the entire 10 miles drive to the restaurant, with the exception of the last 100 yards or so when it ran up hot again. So the car cools while I am eating. When I get back in it after eating, I drive about 20 miles home and the 20 miles back to work this morning with the needle right where it normally is at. No cooling issues at this time. What gives? Anyone else experience this problem?

About the AC. See this thread. Most likely the underdash temp sensor is unplugged. https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/182037-a-c-not-working.html

The AC works and is cold, but only after the car started to roll yesterday. That was the only time it had done that. So, I dont think it is a sensor. If it was, it would be doing it all the time wouldnt it?

experienced the same thing.... do as what THEKING suggested.... I reckon it might just be the A/C sensor being unplugged... because I had the same problem last year when the driver panel was removed and if the sensor wasn't plugged back in (not talking about faulty sensor here), you only have hot air, unless you turn the temp gauage to the coldest setting...
Good luck!

One other thing to check out-- be sure the intake pipe coming up from the driver's side of the intercooler isn't pinching the A/C hose in that area (low in the engine compartment). The hose should be on the engine, not wheel-well side of the pipe (where it can get pinched between the pipe and the body of the car).
