Default Engine Misfires- HELP!!

I've got a 2003 Track Edition with a Built motor (recently installed) and am having a problem with the car misfiring at lower RPM's (idle to 3000). Sometines I get an 0300 code which I realize is not a big deal, but other times I get a flashing Service Engine light. The light will flash for about 30 seconds and then stop without leaving a code.

The mods on the car are the following:
Built motor 8.5:1 compression and head work
ATI Procgarger with 14lb pulleys
CJM Return Fuel SYstem
Kinetix SSV Manifold
RC 650cc Injectors
TurboXS UTEC
Technosquare ECU Reflash

So far we have:
1. Done a Compression Test
2. Changed Plugs
3.Changed Fuel Injectors
4.Change Coil Packs
5.Changed Cam Sensors
6.Changed Crank Sensor
7.Changed MAF Sensor
8.Changed ECU
9.Checked Timing Chains
10. Checked for Vacuum Leaks
11. Changed O2 Sensors

Anybody got any ideas?

Well has the UTEC been tuned? Do you have a wideband? What does your air fuel look like? Have you messed with the timing maps?

The UTEC has been tuned, but the problem is occurring when there is no boost at RPM's under 3000 so the UTEC is not really kicking in at this level. (I have the UTEC set to take over at 2psi). At this level it's running off the MAF and ECU.

So what is the air fuel when the misfire occurs? Does it suddenly go from rich to lean or lean to rich at that point. The values in the 0% column on the UTEC could still be causing the problem depending on your settings. That UTEC set to take over at 2psi is for the 10% to 100% columns.

The flashing check engine light is for a pending p0300 code. Hook up a scanner when it starts blinking and if your scanner can check pending codes it should show you this.

Has the problem been there since the install of the new motor ? If so...do a search , some one else had the problem and I think it was that he had the timing gears on the wrong side...something to that effect

BINGO!! the intake timing gears are not marked left or right and are indexed identical. if you check your 02 sensor reading you will be running dangerously lean on 1,3,5 and rich on 2,4,6. you are having the exact issues to say that is the prob. sorry to hear you had to spend the dough replacing everything else that is fine. hope you saved the parts atleast
just pull the front off the motor and switch the intake cam gears and retime it and you will be ready to go!!

appreciate if you don't want to say who built the motor, but i would look at them for some compensation, atleast the final fix of switching the gears back.

I get random misfire codes often with the APS tt kit, but never flashing. Ive seen this posted before. Isnt this normal for the APS kit?

i'm sure you don't have the same prob steve. once i fixed my switched timing gears, i have never recieved another po300 code at all. it just runs like crap during the off idle to around 3000-3500 range and if you hold it at the misfire point, it will through the code. but you can drive around all day if you just, give it gas, coast, give it gas, coast, lol.
i'm guessing these are the exact symptoms he is getting. if thats the case, switch the intake cam gears.
