Thanks to the 3 people that just sent in their VB's for upgrades. Hopefully when more people post about our VB upgrade, they will become the mainstream VB upgrade. Chirping in 3rd is a lot of fun.

My VB has a black box on top (of the solenoids) with a connector. I guess that's the computer you're referring to ?

Chirping in 3rd with only 360whp and 275 rear tires. I think that's pretty respectable with the 5AT. Someone can correct my accuracy, but the 2nd to 3rd shift on the auto cars happens at about 75mph or so.

Ive never logged or looked to see at what speed the 2nd to 3rd shifts is yet . I have the 3.5 rear in and 1st and 2nd go by very quickly . So Im trying to keep the tires from spinning and hitting the rev limit . I'll try next time I get out

Has anyone tried an actual road course with one? I'd think that the last thing you want to do is chirp (momentarily loose traction with) the rears when accelerating out of a sweeping turn.

Chirping is a demonstration of how hard and fast the transmission shifts. If you are accelerating out of a sweeper, you are not going to go WOT with this much power, until you are pointed pretty much straight ahead. You will typically feed the throttle in gently, and the chirping will not happen.

Probably true unless you drive wrecklessly like me. I also forgot to consider that I'd be on R-comps so chirping isn't all that likely even at full boost.

Unless you want to try your hand at drifting an automatic

So who's running the most power on an auto with a VB upgrade? Not for bragging rights mind you, just interested in what the safe limits for the auto are.

I'll be sending my VB in soon but am only looking to retune for low 400 hp. I'm gonna drive the **** out of it though.

Im at 420whp on a Mustang Dyno , so would think it to be around 470 -480whp on a DynoJet . I havent been boosting it much since I put it on the dyno . I have a head lift problem that needs to be fixed [ or try to fix ] first .
But I have had no problems from the tranny and it seems to be holding up fine
