Theoretically, that should improve 1/4 mile time by 1/4 sec per shift. So 3 shifts would equal .75 sec... n theory...

The right one to quote is:
hey booger did you pick up anytime in the 1/4 with the v/b upgrade.

I was on the phone with Performance Motorsports from NY today, and basically this is what I got out of the conversation with them.
According to them there is NOTHING one can do to the 5AT tranny to make it work good. The only option is have a Chevy Powerglide 4-speed or 3-speed swap. Other then that, they will not even touch the tranny (no VB pulling, nothing). I am confused. This thread has most attention from the 5AT crowd. How much power are you guys running and what are you satisfaction levels?

The extra 0.75 seconds worth of horse power applied is what would need to be calculated .... in theory

Their website advertises updated pro torque torque converters. http://www.theexperience.com/drivetrain.htm
They may not offer a VB but the TC upgrade should help a 5AT. Unless they are selling something they don't even think is worth it, or they don't sell it anymore. Who knows, edge racing converters and level 10 are other options for TC upgrades.

The fact is, for the 350-500whp crowd (the vast majority of people), a VB upgrade is all thats needed for street and occasional track usage.
