Default Oil Temps

I got my oil temp sensor installed yesterday and noticed that my temp hits as high as around 230F. It stays around 190-200F under normal cruising conditions. The temp sensor is installed in an oil filter sandwich adapter that is installed between the oil filter and the block. I am wondering if my Vortech is helping my temps to be higher.

What temps are you guys running and what kit?

TIA
Zach

Cruising mine is about 190, but I managed to log a whopping 274 degrees at the track. Oil cooler has since been installed, let's hope that it works.

I tend to be at around 190ish if I run the AC and a little lower if I don't just driving around town. If I hit rush hour for 10 min, it'll usually go up to 195-200.

If I'm cruising down the highway and give the throttle an occional stab, it might hit 200 degrees - with the AC on

I can't go WOT to redline yet because my 440 injectors not being big enough and have an issue with fuel pressure dropping on my fuel system right now I'm trying to get fixed

First day of city driving (alot of stop and go action) today as a new FI owner. Oil temps were around 195 degrees.

Try to turn on the AC if you're in stop n go traffic...it'll help to lower your oil temp to around 160

My oil temp is 220F just cruising around and hits 240-260F when boosting hard. I find it strange how my temp is so much higher than others. Maybe my autometer gauge reads high.
