How much have you spent on repairs since having FI?
My oil pump relay went out and fried my turbo = $1500 + labor for install and cleaning all the oil out of my inter cooler = ?. Not sure as I just decided to have my engine built while I was at it.
$75 - Oil Pressure Sending Unit went out on my at the track, I think due to a huge bounce when I was spinning the tires. I am sure this could have happened NA as well since the added power have nothing to do with its reliability. Other then that, $0.
There is obviously something to be said about building the engine as this post shows. I think the $20,000 mark is pretty accurate for engine rebuilds. Once you do it right, you should be good to go.
I have not had any repair costs either, only four months as of right now.

yeah cause not many people who blow their engine are going to put another stock engine back into the car which is already like a $3-5k+ or whatever bill with labor depending on how much damage there was
How many of the guys that had to rebuild and drop serious dime did it within the past 6 months to a year? I think most built guys are old school guys-guys who pushed the limits of the stock block before any of us and help us all do it successfully now. Every year we will see more builds by choice not neccessity and we will see more 400+whp stock blocks
$0 Knock on wood tooooooo
Almost 10k miles on Ati supercharger and thats got tracking written all over it. Stock motor.
Ill bug Gurgen to come and post. He's a good friend and I have never had the guts to ask how much....
