I think that's more the drivers fault than the FI

Your story and ones like it really have me thinking. I just experienced my first blown motor. Now I wonder what I should do. Go back to stock with no forced induction or build and have 500 rwhp. There is way too much hype in this industry it seems. I don't live by any shops so it is not like I can have my oil changed by the shop that done my work so they could keep a close eye on my car.

Exactly Marc, makes you wonder if you build, how finicky will it then be? I live 5 hours from my tuner and not one in my area, I really trust. So based on my past experience and god for bid if I had paranormals experience, it's hard to have faith that any setup will be "OEM" reliable without constantly monitoring every gauge, fluid or setting.

yah good choice! aftermarket pulley with FI really isnt needed... the gain is almost not there... and its WAY stronger and safer... plus KJR is crap

either way! Tuning Factory did my build... we just grabbed a new crank from nissan to put in there... but wisco and pauter stuff inside! im happy with it!

Fuel line- 10.00$ , power steering line another 10 or 15 oh and the best one blown motor. 5,000.00 in parts and about 3,000 or more on labor. And i still need a fuel system....

21,000 miles on current setup...

1 smooth idler pulley, 2 grooved idler pulleys = $52 (trying to diagnose the problem that ended up being the jackshaft bearing)
Jackshaft bearings = $15.00 x 2

Total spent $82

Had the car at the track this weekend and beat the crap out of it and she held up like a champ!

how many engines have been hurt due to the KJR?

BobaFettm, you're the only one I've heard of who specifically thinks the KJR did your motor in.

I know people have cracked their UR pulley with their turbo setup.
