I used BFG's DR's on all my turbo honda/acura projects and loved them.

Hey Bri, if it helps any I had an APS TT putting down not even close to what you do (417whp) with the eibach setup and bad camber. Even with slicks I could not gain traction for sh*t at the track, I know the issue has been beat into the ground but slicks are useless without a good suspension setup.

How is the traction on a regular road above 60mph?

It hooks on normal road around 70mph....I am getting a camber setup and fixing this problem...

Nismo S-tune, SPC camber arms, toe bolts. Camber set to -.5 degrees per side. I might pull it all the way out to zero when I get more power. A local Z tuner is working on a full swappable (in under an hour) drag suspension for the 350Z, I'll be prototyping it on my car.

That sounds fun...Please let me know how it works. Would love to have a simple solution to swap from Roadrace to Drag...

one more little trick is to unhook one end of your front sway bar. it allows the front to pull up easier shifting weight to the rear.

Not a bad run. You dont need slicks. You may want to consider going to a smaller rim, like a 15 or 16 inch rim. The added sidewall makes a HUGE difference. I used the BFG's before. 315/35/17. I was able to cut a 1.700 on my 6pd (700rwhp launching at 6.5k) and 1.68 on my auto (launching at 10 psi). I switched to the MT on a 16 inch rims and my 60 fts average around 1.55 to 1.52 with the auto. I would suggest you give them a try. Even the 17s grip really well. I just think its kind of funny that most of the people telling you to go to slicks probably never ran an 11 sec pass at the track themselves. Get your suspension sorted out and you will be fine. The DR will hold if you heat them up enough. You need to drop your tire pressure though. I run mine at about 14-15 psi. My car is nice and stable up top even at 130+ traps.

a smaller rim won't clear the brakes.

Wrong .... there are many 16" wheels that will clear the Track Brembos and a few 17s that'll clear even a 14.25" setup.

Weld Pro-StarXP will clear most brake setups on the Z.

You need to correct your camber issue and get a set of slicks.. With your trap around 128 and the fact you let off, with traction you should be trapping in the 130's. Once you hook up you're good for 10's.

If he runs slicks with a radial tire up front the car will be even more unstable. He has to run a skinny with a bias ply up front or the rear end will be all over the place.

Bri, I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but you may want to fix your camber and get some slicks.
