NHRA Legal Roll Bars for the Z...the search continues
so it looks like AAM won't have their roll bar out anytime soon, the last I heard 2 months ago was that they were looking for a Z to put it on out there. They haven't since replied to my emails
So back to the drawingboard.
Anyone know of a place doing NHRA legal Roll Bars for the Z?

I just got around calling them, they want $2000 PLUS Parts for a freaking Roll Bar....
UNBELIEVABLE
why are these people overcharging so much just because we have an import.
The guy was ultra rude as well
Too bad because they are 5 minutes from my job
so no to Redzone Fabrications and yet again back to the drawing board

they are just not in southern cali, but I might just drive up there
Jegs has roll bars from $150 to $250 NHRA legal 8 points
Roll Bars are cheap, it's just ripp off companies that overcharge because it's an import

here's an example of Ford roll bars and cages from Jegs
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=19427
if you scroll down you see a full blown 8 point roll bar for a 2005 mustang for $149.95
they just don't have them for the Z but why should it cost $1800 more for a z?????

I think he's just talking about a bar and not a cage..
I seriously doubt you can get a chromoly roll cage 5 or whatever point for that cheap.
Are you talking about just a harness bar?

The real cost of a cage is the fitting and welding. Figure 30 hours to properly remove and replace all interior, clean all mounting points, but all pipes and mounting pads to fit, tig weld all joints. Most shops charge $60 an hour.
I've done cages in 3 cars and the cheapest one was $1850
