Well now, since the title is all encompassing for future searches, here goes:

I've begun the install for this setup...I've run the line from the hatch area to the intercooler. This saturday the install should begin (pending I can fix the damn threads on the IC sprayer unit....damn aluminum) And should get it running enough to test it out.

After reading through the information, this looks to be a promising setup for decreasing intake temps....as you essentially run the spray for about 10 seconds, or until the IC is frozen over ......should make for a nice dense intake charge

I've been meaning to get one too... but I'm waiting for you to install(break) yours so I'll know what NOT to do.

 

I hooked mine up a few weeks back but have not had the chance to try it out yet. I should be getting my car back from the shop tonight.. I figure this weekend is as good a time as any to give it a experimental shot...

Should be entertaining anyway..

 

Here's an idea. Drive around to movie theater box offices and purge a few times as you drive by. (+rep)

 

Now the funny part is that I have the purges set to shoot through the vents in my VT hood... AND my car is supposed to be on display at a major movie theater tomorrow for this movie thing...

It should be funny as $hit to see how the evening progresses.

I had that system on my rx7. It helped out alot with heatsoak and even got the radiator a little bit behind the intercooler and lowered my temps, and god knows that a problem on rx7's.
