4) What issues have you encountered(blown engine, smokey turbos, etc.)? this kit was purchased used. had really bad boost drop due to a bad coupler. simple fix then ran great. now, blown motor do to a terrible mis-shift.

Initially had some blue smoke issues that was caused by the lines for the Greddy catch can kinking under high vacuum at high rpm. Swapped to race hoses and no issues since.

I started off just @ the stock pressure level of 7.5 and did 399/380. Then upped the boost w/ a mbc, but since it was only used for like a +1 psi bump or so it fluctuates from 8.5 - 9 psi. I'm going to resolve this here in the beginning of next year when I pick up some 550cc injectors. Probably go with deatschworks, I just got a CJM stage I return fuel sys. I also need to get away from the stock exhaust. I'm going to be shooting for 500 with the 11.5psi springs and exhaust which will be right around 400ish uncorrected HP here in Denver (5800+ feet above sea level). Right now at 450hp corrected, my uncorrect is right around 360. Hopefully the JWT clutch will hold as well aside from the stock bottom end.

4) What issues have you encountered(blown engine, smokey turbos, etc.)? none cross my fingers, Im sure some time i will have to replace my clutch cause im on stock clutch.

This is a good thread! Now I can see if there are more guys out there running aps tt kit on a stock block with 450whp without blowing it. Mine is being installed next week! (of course, it's in the tuning and how you drive it)

4) What issues have you encountered(blown engine, smokey turbos, etc.)? Blown AC Lines (5 of them), blew one engine due to overboost when vacum line came off, this all my fault of not installing tie straps on the lines...

One bad oil return line from passenger turbo, poor quality control, after 1 year and 7 months have not yet got replacement part, I had a machine shop resurface the face of the fitting and used JB Weld to repair poor weld job (pinhole leaks). Also one silicon connector at IC developed a 1/8" tear, replaced with thicker connector. Also suffering from rapid rear tire wear out.

 

I have to tell ya.... I'm pretty amazed just how many blown motors there are here in this thread.
