yes matt, i will be putting the G back together, the sooner we get that, the sooner we can start on your car!!

yeah the coolant leak was an easy fix, just one of the stock clamps on just a little sideways, and the oil burnt right off the manifold in a couple minutes.

now the battery light stays on really dim and the voltage gauge in the car reads really really high.

i really dont know why it would be reading so high or whats the deal with that. i will be switching batteries in the morning to see if for some reason something went wrong with that

besides that, it was a fun project and will gladly do it again!!

thanks man, have a few. i got the alternator problem figured out, i think when i had the G wiring harness on the motor, there was a couple different plugs and that was one of them, it did something to the alternator, i switched it with the other one and the car runs great. open wastegates (5psi) is no fun but EVERYTHING is running perfect!!! what a relief!!!!

want to thank matt ZUL8R for all his help coming over and breaking things for me...

i am going to figure out how to get the greddy boost solenoid to stay open using the utec so i can run 9 or 10 psi later since the map i am using to begin is tuned for 11 psi

check the back of the alternator post you might have shorted the positive terminal to the alternator housing, especially if you have a capacitor mounted in there.

Jeremy,
Haven't noticed this thread. Looks like you did a great job! Now you will have a nice problem of finding grip I don't have as much hp as you will have on this beast, and I can't find enough grip from my 295 R-compound tires - great problem to have

Hope you can have her running nicely and join me at Road Atlanta in August!

Mike

thanks guys, yeah the weight of the turbo, intercooler, and bigger radiator is very very noticable. damn!!!

can handles a lot different!! ran around for a few hours last night on 5 psi and it was running nice!! i am working on figuring out the utec boost solenoid control and i will be able to kick it up a notch later today!!

i will hope to make some road course events mike, this thing gets really really hot fast though, need to work on some cooling tricks very soon, maybe the air needs to come out to better the cooling and lighten up the front end

Wow, what an awesome project to have. Kinda funny seeing two such nice cars in a backyard all torn up like that.

Glad everything worked out for you. Cant wait to see what kinda times you'll get with your new setup. Any ideas on what kinda power you'll be making with 11lbs of boost once everything is ready?

Did you put an oil cooler on her?
The owner of the shop I go to has a TT 350Z with the Koyo radiator and still has temperature problems at the track. Only cooling differences between my car and his are my oil cooler and the vents in my hood. Yet, I credit most of my cooling to the oil cooler. Although that will add on some weight.
Welcome to the heavy world of TT
