Default Forced induction with kinetix ssv

I have been through the searches reading different posts about the kinetix ssv intake manifold, but i can not find a complete answer if it works, or before and after dyno charts of the ssv on a supercharged engine. my question is for $899.00 will and does this intake make a difference with a vortech SC as far as HP and more importantly TQ. any help would be appreciated especially from you guys that bit the bullet and actually purchased one. thanks

better off spending 1/4 of that and getting a plenum spacer.

OH WOW!

That's not very encouraging...

Man... I havn't heard very good things about Kinetix products as a whole. Their plastic plenums had alot of issues too didn't they?

There are several people using plenum spacers on FI engines... including me. There is no reason it should leak if everything is torqued down correctly.

Have the ssv on a APS ST.

The HP gain -- which may be attributable to the tune -- was extensive.

Went from 330 -- tuned after APS ST install; to 379 -- tuned after SSV install

It may be because of the tunning, but I have to believe some of the HP is because of the SSV.

10 hp is nothing, i would do something else to gain back that 10,

some mods i do for looks and some i do for power, and hell some have both looks and power.

not that im sold on this thing, but i do like the looks.

I don't think the plenum spacer would leak with FI if it was properly tightened to spec

i had the md spacer on the car first but thought it was an upgrade w/ the ssv. the reason you might get more hp w/ssv w/aps st was because of the original tune. 330hp is pretty low out of the Box. i was able to dyno 398hp on a dynopak out the box. went back in ssv and made 387.7hp. the ssv was starving for air. i might try the crawford next. i have technosquare do my reflashes. they have an inhouse dyno now. just sold my ssv. never had a problem w/ md spacer

WHERE IS KINETIX? I tried to cancel my SSV order the same day while I go over car plans..or maybe a day later. I know they haven't started workign on it so cancelling shouldn't be a problem if they're really backordered 3-4 weeks. I've sent a cancellation email every day for the past 4 or so days with no reply. And I remember when I used to try to call that, it would be impossible!

How can I get in touch with them? Should I file a credit card dispute to get their attention and my money back before they make the SSV?
