Default what intercooler should i get?

well i was just wanting some opinions. my front bumper/ intercooler was damaged and my insurance company is gonna pay for both. i was just wondering what intercooler you all thought i should go with for my PE tt and it doesnt matter about piping cause we can custom fit some if needed (we were planing on redoing the piping anways). PE is gonna take forever to get me one so i was thinking about getting something different. thanks for any help

Spearco can make any intercooler you want them too. Water to air, air to air. YOu tell them what you want and they will build it, pressure test it, and ship to you. Bar and plate of course, less then a 1 PSI drop, etc. They can be reached at 805-581-0333

I'm sure that would work too. I don't have the specs on that to be honest. I'm sure it would be more then sufficient for the boost you plan to run and the turbos in the PE kit.

yea thats what i was thinking. were looking to get around 18 psi out of the PE turbos and the IC piping is very small and restrictive with the PE kit. the greddy looks much larger and like it would flow better. but im gonna give spearco a call because that sounds like a good idea as well. thanks for the help mia

How about the APS intercooler, can you buy that separately? I think it is a great looking intercooler, and the specs are pretty damn good apparently. Just a thought

Personally, I like the design of the Jim Wolf Intercooler. If I am not mistaken, it has dual inlets, as does this one on this page mentioned below.

http://www.icevex.com/products_35v2p.html

The dual inlet would allow you to reroute and or redo some of the PE kit piping, making it less complicated and taking up our little bit of room.

I'm pretty sure only the PE and Greddy TT intercoolers have the inlets on the same side (passenger). That would mean 100% rework of the charge piping after the compressor outlet. Its certainly possible and they are both good intercoolers. However using one with the intercooler inlet already on the correct side would make things easier.

The Icevex intercooler I have is quality piece . They use good quality bar and plate cores , thier welds are top notch , low preasure drop . The 31+4+11 [ i think ] supports 800hp . For half the price of the big boys
