The unichip that is included with the kit is more than capable. Provides much more control and features than most seem to give it credit for.

As mentioned the C or classic Unichip is more than capable for the application.
I will add that the Q Unichip is already out and that is all thet Unichip US is shipping now, we have done a couple of them already on NA and FI cars and very nice unit, one was on a built motor with APS TT. Now that is just Unichip US, since Unichip Australia is a different division they may continue to supply the C or Classic unichip with their kits although I do know that have tuned with the Q Unichip.

haha...just had to throw it in there.
But seriously, buy from any reputable shop that you trust. That is the most important thing. GRD, Japtrix, MRC....it's all good.

After the HKS blower's impact (or lack thereof) of the SC market, I don't know if I agree with you, sir. If the EMS is locked down, except for HKS licenced tuners, upgradability is zero and the price is on par with TT setups, there may be just a couple sold to those who want to score point for being "mad JDM tyte, yo!".

I don't really intend to take away from this thread by going off on an HKS tangent, but don't count them out based on price alone.

And this is, like, fifth direction this thread is taking, so, nothing new.

[QUOTE=Philthy][QUOTE=Bullitproof]It's 420whp on 93. We could have made more power than that on c-16 but:
1. The car was on the dyno all day and the intercooler was heat soaked
2. The outside temperature was 90+ degrees
3. The clutch was slipping
In about a month I'll have a new clutch installed and will re-dyno on a dynojet at another shop. I stand behind this kit. It's not perfect, but just like the greddy, it can be pieced together into a nice kit.

So you made 420whp on 93 pump & 440whp on C16?
Or, is your sig wrong...
Nah, my signature says i make 440whp and 420rtrq on c-16. my sig was too long so i omitted my 93 octane tune which was 420whp and 412rtrq It was dynoed on a dynapack load-based dynometer. once i get it dynoed on a dynojet i'll post both charts.
