I like to know the F/I guys opinion on this kit. Let me here what you like/don't like. The pluses/minuses of the kit. Etc... Basically I'm just starting to reseach this kit and want to hear some reviews. Thanks!!!

Try doing a quick search and you'll find your information. There is plenty around. Either that or perhaps an APS ST owner will chime in.
Robert_K: I don't have the kit on my car yet, but what drew me to purchasing the APS ST kit, was it's completeness. After the kit, there was very little to purchase afterwards, gauges, clutch upgrade. But now you need to ask yourself what you are looking for in terms of power, upgradeability and drivability. Each kit has it's own Pro's and Con's, but to me, it was the overall package of the APS that finally made me pluck down the $$$.

I'm just looking for basic reviews. I'm more of a Solo2/Track racer than drag. I was seriously looking at the HKS Rotrex S/C Kit but someone suggested the APD S/T kit. Did a search on SCC and Turbo Magazine but no Tech write-ups. Want more power but don't want to over power the car.
i have the APS ST and ill tell you that at first you are gonna ABSOLUTLEY love it! BUT like everything else you are going to get used to the power and going to want to get the TT setup. If your not going to build your motor you wont get much power out of the ST. 400whp MAX (safley). You might think thats enough power but you will get bored of it. TT has more potential for power, ST is a more of a "my car is pretty quick and im happy with that" lol. hope this helps somehow.
Yeah, juiced is right, the tt's have more potential. but this kit aint no slouch. i've had mine since september '05 and it's great. the only thing i would have done different with this kit was get the aps exhaust. i have a forged acuator and jic exhaust and don't have any major boost drop issues. here's the link to my car on car version 2's website. http://www.carv2.com/site/project_detail.cfm?id=443
$4995 is NOT everything you need. for example:
1) you need an exhaust for it not to run like crap
2) gauges
3) boost controller because the APS boost solenoid thats controlled by the Unichip is also crap
4) upgraded clutch and flywheel
5) dyno tune
if you add all that up it turns out that its NOT that cheap. All in all thru my experience ive learned that there is no such thing as CHEAP F/I, so do it right the first time :/

Juiced is right it's definately not cheap. but;
1) you need an exhaust for it not to run like crap 995 for the aps st or jic st
2) gauges your choice, i went defi so it was like 600 for boost and oil press and 450 for a plx wideband
3) boost controller because the APS boost solenoid thats controlled by the Unichip is also crap any manual controller works fine. 100 bucks
4) upgraded clutch and flywheel i think the jwt kit is 800 install is approx 500
5) dyno tune about 2 hours

Can some one explain why it is crap? just curious...... can it not handle an out of the box iinstall with out going past the recomendations for boost from APS?
