Default APS 3" test pipes: any boost issues?

Anyone using the APS 3.5" testpipes w/ the APS twins on a stock engine having boost creep or spikes? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You'll most likely need a retune. The boost may be higher and you may need the a/f tweaked some, depending on if you're changing exhaust too.

Thanks. I know the aps kits are sensitive to exhaust changes. I guess what I was trying to get at was weather or not anyone has had boost spike/creep with the bigger pipes. Retune is not a concern, popping the motor is. If they hold 8ish PSI, then they'll be fine for now. I just don't want to see a 12 psi spike or anything crazy like that.

Any turbo kit will be affected by bigger pipes, how much depends on the rest of your exhaust, but you will probably at a minimum get a boost spike, an adjustment on the unichip for th eboost will take care of that.

The car has the APS 2.5" true dual. Good, bad, indifferent?

No direct experience with these yet? That's odd.

Used-
My motors built, but I noticed a substantial difference when I finally parted with my LaBree test pipes and Stillen dual. I installed the APS 3.5" test-pipes and the 3" APS exhaust and was able to boost quicker and higher. I'd visit my UniChip tuner as has been suggested and consider installing an electronic boost controller. The one included with the APS kit is sort of cheesy......

I have an 04 G35 coupe w/APS TT, 2.5” APS true dual exhaust and stock cats. If I stay on the accelerator enough, it will go up to 12 psi, although it normally is in the specified 6-8 psi range. I would think that with the 3” exhaust you'd have a better chance to see it creep up on you.

I have those pipes with a custom stillen exhaust. I have no boost spikes, but my tuner is a aps/unichip dealer. They readjusted my tune. Get that retuned and there should be no problems.
