You'll most likely have to pull the pan if you can't get it out with it on the car.

People, you have to be very careful torquing down oil drain bolts on ALUMINUM oil pans....

been there.. same situation GreddyTT Oil Pan.. stupid pepboys fcked it up.. found out when i was changing my oil.. for now i have a universal plug

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...%7CGRP2037____

the universal plug is tricky.. if you tighten it too much it will break off in the pan.. which i had to drop the lower oil pan to fix.. and if you don't tighten it enough it will leak.. it will leak regaurdless underboost because it can't hold pressure..

the plan?

buy a new bolt.. thats bigger and retap the hole, but witha quick oil drain valve and using some thread lock

When mine stripped out two years ago days before ZdayZ I had to remove the pan and use an arbor press to apply pressure on the back side of the bolt to force it out. I then retapped it to a 5/8" hole and used a hex head bolt from Fastenal.

I have since never changed my oil and never had a problem!

How do you get the pan off w/o doing any damage? Mine is on there really good, I took a razor blalde to cut some of the glue but it will not give.

I pried and pried and pried on mine until it finally gave. It took over an hour of beating and prying before it popped off.

I can get a stock pan off in 5 min or less. Just use one of these

and one of these

and tap here to break the seal, then slowly and carefully pry it apart. Be careful not to gouge the aluminum upper pan, or bend the steel lower pan.

i would assume if the screw was striped and you were able to get a flathead between the pan and bolt and use some sort of fulcrum(rubber mallet) that you could apply pressure down on the flathead while unscrewing the bolt to back it out. might be worth a shot for people who dont want to take off the pan.

Gonna have to try the pry bar or gasket scraper. Using the pry bar did you put a towel over the bar? I did try to use a flathead to apply pressure to unscrew but no luck, and since it has to be retapped for larger bolt I wanted to pull the pan.
