Not including install, what would be the average cost for tuning a Vortech S/C on a stock 2004 350Z? Any peronal experience or input would be great.

$300-$500 for the initial tune. Cheaper after that if you go to the same tuner.

 

My initial tune was $200, but the SS Box was pre-tuned from a buddy of mine. I had a discount of 15% as well.

 

Tuning is going to vary, based on the experience of the shop/tuner, the type of dyno used, and a host of other factors. Some shops will make 5 pulls and say...done. Others will actually tune the engine completely. You basically get what you pay for. We charge $400 for a split second tune.

 

Sharif--do you all sell superchargers too?

 

Sharif tuned my Vortech after I installed it. He got me an extra 30 whp over the initial SS setup. Well worth the cost and the drive up there (220 miles for me).

 

We have a G35 coming in with a SS box and a Vortech SC. We are charging him $350.00 to fully optimize his maps.
