I just read threw this, and everyone that is using these is more into tuning for boost. what about people that want to tune on N/A cars, with mostly bolt on's, intake, exhaust, headers, spacers, things like that. sorry for the noob question.

I have never heard of an Engine Management having too much control
. The Marreli does have a lot and it does take some getting use to going through the multiple maps, screens, etc. We tested it out on Sharif's car and I can't remember how much we picked up compared to the eManage. The stock ecu still had control over cam timing! I know I was happy
. I have not messed with the FCON or the Unichip but I definitely do think Marreli is at the top. They have been at the pinacle of any type of racing for years. We didn't pick to go with the Motec as we felt the Marreli is where it is at. It is definitely not designed for everyone as it is quite a bit more expensive. I have made 768rwhp at 21psi (this is a large turbo and not in its efficiency range yet) and picked up 60+ hp by working with variable cam for 10 minutes.
The Marreli is a completely plug and play system and takes about 30 minutes to install. All the stock creature comforts are retained. We even had the Marreli controlling DBW on my car but won't release it as it is too dangerous. With the Tilton flywheel and the throttle body timing retarded as much as possible it still revved too fast and was undrivable.
I think Sharif is correct, that a price tag of $5k is high for some people. We didn't design it for everyone but I truly believe it is the best ECU out there. You will see 1000+hp cars arising and this should be an ECU to think about.
