Why are Supras so much better?
People are stupid for comparing an NA engine to a FI engine stock vs stock-no $hit the 2JZ will handle more boost/power....as stated many times though, build them both and its a different ballgame.

I never intended to insult you, why do people get so damn defensive around here?

Now yes the Supra is fast in a straight line, yet you really need to get your Z on a road coarse - then you will see it walk away for the Supra. The Z is one amazingly balanced machine, and the only way to see that is to get here on a road coarse.
And Mrtomcat - as you know our cars are twins - and on a road coarse my cars passes everyone - even Supras and brand new Z06's.

I didnt take the time to read the entire thread, so this may be redundant..but....
vq35 when tt'd : tons of torque down low, great power band
I don't know much about supras, but they make much less torque and the power comes on late in the power band...
I think the Supras are impressive, but I would take a 350z tt anyday

My main point was that it's sooo much cheaper to get a supra to do the same as a Z but someone actually answered the obvious question for me: A brand new Supra was about 50k being designed to be a turbo car. In a few years people will sell their build Z's for much less and whatever will be the hot new car at the time will cost more to get there....

Again, I have much better times up to the 1/8 mile but just after that the supras catch on and usually win. That has been the most frustration experience for me on that.

Build + Cams = Problem Solved
You will be beating them at the 1/8 and the 1/4 (unless they are massively overpowering you still)
