UPDATE:

So i put some 100 octane it was still 1/4 full so i would say its about 98 octane. it barley does the issue now, and when it does do it, its not as bad as before, tommarow im going to top off my 1/2 tank of 98 or whatever with some fresh 100 again and see what happens.....

Going to change the plugs this week as well as install the HKS DLI and HKS EVC 5 boost controller.

So what does it mean if 100 octane fixes my issue?

Thanks

-George

xbs did the 100 octane fix your problem? If not let me know I think I found out what's wrong. That is if you and me have the same problem. I put in 110 oct today and it didn't fix anything.

Yes it's leaded. I'm still working on the problem, but it seems to be pointed towards my vdc/abs systems. I've had this bug for a while. Monday my dealer will check out the system. I get a reoccurring codes 1108/1107 there was another for speed sensor. I don't remember the code #. I'll get it on monday. Everybody said it was tuning. This is why I put in the 110 oct. I have to admit the car runs real smooth and the exhaust is real cool...lol

lol yea the 100 octane fixed my issues so i beleive its tunned to aggressive for 91 octane, i guess brainstorm is known for that. anyways did you get any check engine lights? i didnt, ill pull the codes for fun. Hope your problem gets resolved. im trying to scrape some cash to get a V PRO installed and tuned, that should fix everything Good luck and keep me posted!

The problem was most likely due to knock...Now go and performe a leakdown and compression test to be on the safe side..Once again I was right..

Mrc do you have any idea what could be my problem? Mine feels like the I'm hitting the rev limiter or the vdc is hitting 3500-4000 rpms at part throttle. My car doesn't even throw a code. Any help would be appreciated.

The one time we experienced similar syptoms was feul flow related, like out of fuel with a hung up float in the tank, so we thought we had fuel..

Just so I understand do you mean the car was running out of gas? This happens at part throttle even after I just fill the tank. Lately it's been getting worse. I know there were a few unichip harnesses that had problems, but I don't know what the issue was. APS and unichip thought it was tune related so I had my original map reinstalled it didn't make a difference. Is there anything else you can think of? Thanks
