5AT Shifting with Vortech

5AT Shifting with Vortech
I know this has been asked before and I've come up with some minor results, but I wanted to start my own thread. For all you 5AT vortech owners, how is the car shifting? In MM mode I notice it jerks me into gear a little, even at lower rpm (4k). I'm hoping my tranny isn't starting to take a chit. No slipping yet.
In auto, I have noticed the car will not shift at all, like most people experience, and just bounce off the rev limiter. I know people raise their rev limiter, but does this actually make the car shift on time in auto or is it just so the driver has more time to react in MM? I've found mixed opinions on that matter.
Last, somewhat out of context, but do any of you have a problem with the car jerking once or twice when in MM mode while slowing to a completely stop (mainly from 2 to 1)? I had this before the vortech, and the dealer said it was normal, but it seems a bit violent sometimes. Not a crazy jerk, but you can def. feel it.
Also, when going WOT, and shifting gears, what happens to the air that would normally go out the BOV when shifting with a manual? Because the foot doesn't let off the gas in MM, and the throttle plate doesn't close, does the air get recirculated?
Damn, that was a lot of questions lol...thanks all

Again, I had my dealer check this and they said it was normal. Although, it may have not jerked as hard or twice for them as it sometimes does for me.

I have the Turbonetics ST w/ my 5AT. I had the ECU reflashed by Technosquare. Tadashi raised my red line to 7100 RPM both AT & MAN mode. On AT at WOT it shifts at 6800-6900 RPM smooth & fast w/o bouncing the rev. limiter. Same thing at manual mode. No valve body upgrade done either.
