I can't believe I missed this thread when it was first posted. Damn Brent ... all I can say is it can only get better (actually now that you're in the right hands it sounds like it IS already a lot better).

Trust me, when Devon first came over to ask Chris , 'Hey man, you know what this is?' while holding the bearing... I thought it was a joke... BUT Chris got up immediately and went straight over to the car and started double checking everything. Sharif told me it must have been a Joke (At this time it was already like 1 AM). When it was figured out it was found in the catch pan and no one had ever seen something like that before... They REALLY went over everything a third time.

Alright, I am checking mail in Singapore at the moment before heading to Philippines. I got an email from Sharif, looks like the engine is back up and running and they should be working on the tuning real soon. I expect Sharif to post #'s and info when available.

Mike: Sorry I have not gotten back to you, been really busy before leaving for Asia. Either PM me or we can talk when I get back in November.

Everyone: Thanks for the well wishes and I can only say I hope to have my car back up and running soon. As to the comments about expecting it to break... We all know you pay to play, but waiting/paying over 9 months and having the engine blow a gasket within 3 weeks of the new engine build WAS NOT in my plans... I figured if it blew we would be pushing the envelope, not running 9 PSI on the street.

LOL... Yea lets just say I arrived at midnight, hit the hotel bar after cleaning up around 1 AM (bar stays open til 6AM) and by 3 AM I had 2 Korean chicks...
I drink, Dive and spend a lot of time in bed.... Not necessarily in that order.
Like Noah said, it keeps me sane and relieves a lot of stress Lord knows I need it after the last week I had... ARGH!!

After some R&R in Philippines I will be heading to Thailand for 'Same-Same, but different girls"... GOD, I love Asia...

I just had an idea...(I know, gasp and swoon!)

Remember when we were in college? Some of us still are but will be able to relate.

Every curriculum had a "weed-out" course. For those who don't understand, it's the course designed to separate those that have the potential to be successful at a major from those that were looking to get a degree in (insert major here), but weren't capable of making the grade.

I see correctly building the VQ35 as the "weed-out" course for shops within our community.

Because of my current trip and work schedule, I don't expect to get the car back until mid november.
Lets see what happens with the engine before we plan any fun in the waning fall sun...

Well, there has been some decent progress. The engine is back together Sharif has put a good solid tune on pump gas and is now working on a race tune. I will wait until he is finished to reveal results, but right now I can safely say we are already hitting over 500whp on a Dyno Dynamics.
So I am back to where I thought I was before. Now the hard work begins.
