lol.. I am looking forward to getting it back in my car along with a few other new goodies...

Eazzzy: Trust me, with the amount of money I have put into this, the last thing I want to happen is for anything to break... I can buy a house for what I have put into this car and I am not happy when something that is going to cost me $20k to fix, breaks... Especially when I just paid over $20k for it and it breaks in a month of use.

I am not one to stir up trouble ......but when the heads were off the block didn't anyone look into the bores or clean them before putting the heads back on?? I mean this is basic engine building stuff. There would be obvious evidence if the ring was put in wrong from the beginning. I realize it was late and everyone was in a rush but....

All surfaces were perfectly flat...not even .001 deflection from straight. The ring issue was not visible during our inspection, as we didnt break-down the block. Brent and I had a long discussion about how to proceed, and in the interest of time, we buttoned the engine back up, knowing there was risk involved in taking this approach without a complete breakdown and evaluation of the entire engine.
