Well, there has been some decent progress. The engine is back together Sharif has put a good solid tune on pump gas and is now working on a race tune. I will wait until he is finished to reveal results, but right now I can safely say we are already hitting over 500whp on a Dyno Dynamics.

Well, just thought I would put a quick update before the end of the year.
As I think everyone is aware the gasket blew again shortly after Sharif started the more aggressive maps. We had the entire engine (long block and everything) crated up and shipped to GTM for a complete teardown analysis.
The engine was reviewed by Sam at GTM and the headstuds were installed incorrectly (at least 1 was more then 1/16 inch off) and one of the pistons was either assembled or installed incorrectly..? The result was that a ring was pushed out and folded back on the piston tearing up the cylinder wall.
The end result is the engine needs to be replaced and very little is salvageable (the block, sleeves and pistons all need to be replaced…) I am hoping the JWT C2 camshafts and Ferrea valvetrain are OK, so I can sell/give these to someone who needs a turbo cam/valve setup. But again, we will not know until Sam looks at the heads.
I am going to have a new block built shortly. I should be getting a complete longblock, including all accessories, timing components and applicable upgrades for my whp goals. It is going to take a while to build the engine again, but meanwhile I can save up the funds to pay for everything (I hope .

Id like to hear more technically what deal was with the studs and the PISTON ??? Whats the deal with that ????
The stud was off center 1/16 ??? That would account for the gasket blowing
PISTON ?? Severe clearance screw up ?
Cams and VT should be fine, but whats the deal with ALL the rods ???

Eazzzy, Alberto: I stand corrected on the rods. It was a misunderstanding on my side. They appear fine and are reusable, but with my new build I myself am not going to be able to use them.
This is a good note, now I hopefully have a few parts I can resell and try to get some money back from this debacle.

Was the cylinder wall scored the first time Forged took it apart? Was it a machine shop issue with the studs? I mean how the hell did that thing hold together from MD to FL with all these issues.

As for how it held together, many people are asking that question. It was obvious that something was wrong from the dramatic loss of power on the Florida Dyno. Even after Sharif replaced the headgasket, the while he was tuning it was making slightly less power then expected. But it still had a good power curve and was reacting as expected to increases in boost and changes in fuel pressure/AF ratios.. ???
