If not, he can see how the Stage 2 kit does and go from there. Congrats Jet! Id like to see the dyno graph

dont be hating the fact that that single is hanging with your twins.

lol, youre probably right tho, i just realized at sharifs my tq didnt go down as far as DD numbers, the tq was the same as on a DJ, so as my Rice Calculator projects, id go with 490/510 on a DJ.

More ricer math! Remember Tig, we used road speed for the dynoday, in order to avoid hunting for tach signals. As such, the trq number is not accurate. Rough guess is probably 500whp, give or take a few....plenty fast.

He's posted it all before. Turbonetics kit with custom 48mm tial wastegate with open dumps, topspeed pro-1 exhaust, upper plenum mod of some sort, alphawerks headers, utec, aam/cjm fuel return, utec, and I believe a blitz boost controller. Probably not exact but that's totally off the top of my head.

the tial wastegate is basically the equievalent to turbonetics overboost fix correct...
plenum mod...probably 5/16" spacer....

so if you got a newer TN kit.. to match his mods.. other than the engine, you jsut need the boost controller + headers or MREV2 + fuel return

if he hit 510 on a dyunojet... since his engine can handle more... is it safe to assume, if you have water injection kit running full meth mix and also throw NX ic sprayer and and retune the utec with those extra mods, you can have a second race map capable of hitting 540s ?

Yes, it is different but should accomplish the same goal.

Don't think that you can copy his setup and make the same power. I'm interested in seeing the power delivery with the headers installed, in the form of a dyno pull.

I think you'll be hard pressed to get any higher, much less the 540whp area. A lot of what he's making is in he tune.

well yah... i mean coping his setup plus more is jsut one part... ovbiously #s wont be the same but but having it similar #s shoudl be a -in the ball park" close.. i am jsut saying if he does a few more things on his setup liek the MREV2 and NX n-tercooler and a 100% methanol mix, if he can use that and make an extra 30 whp at least bassed on higher airflow from teh mrev2 + higher gas quality from the methanol mix + the gaves from the nx kit... and that plus using the utec with a map selector... retune a second map where you use thi other setups and get a lil more on the whp....

just wondered....

btw when you said "Yes, it is different but should accomplish the same goal." you are talkigna bout the TN overboost fix VS his custom fix correct?

OK guys.... here it is!!!

HP FT-LBS

HP-PSI

Here is the set-up. It's pretty simple actually.

TopSpeed Pro-1 3" exhaust
TN Hybrid T4 60-1 (Stock turbo in the TN kit)
Alphawerks headers
UR underdrive pulley set
Turbosmart Pro Gate 48mm custom mounted open dump (fixes overboost issue)
CJ motorsports return fuel system
Deatschwerks 550 injectors
UTEC

Concerning the HP curve. As you can see the car only made power to 5400 rpm @ 13.5psi. The funny thing is that the curve was almost identical @ 10psi as it was @ 13.5 psi. Even @ 10 psi it was only making power to 5400rpm. Sharif says the drop is a result of the turbine housing reaching the limit of what it can flow. The car pulls like a monster. The headers seemed to not affect spool up time at this power level. The car is making full boost @ 4000 rpm. The tourque hits hard. Many thanks to Sharif. He is such a pimp!! I love the car!! I will be installing the new TN stage II turbo when it becomes available. I want power up to 6200. Other than that this car is a beast!

Interesting. I'm glad you like the car and it certainly looks like you've got a powerful setup. I'm impresed at the peak numbers he pulled out of it even with the power loss on the top end.

It looks to me like the vast majority of the power/tq gains were in the midrange. I can imagine if you could carry that power out to redline the car would be a completely different animal.

As far as the headers not delaying spool, I still see it. It looks to me like they did make the spool time more abrupt. For instance, boost really doesn't start to climb until 3200rpms. On many cars with stock manifolds I've seen them at a full 8-9psi at that point. Then again, this is still all speculation until we see a side by side comparison with boost graphs. I really wish I could get my car up there to test it out... Maybe some day...
