Exclamation How do you guys feel about the Profec-1 with Greddy and UTec

I found a seller that has a good price and want to know if this is a good route to go down with my addition of Twins. All input will be greatly appreciated along with experienced folk with UTEC and the Profec-1.

the regular old school profec is one of the best basic EBC's you can buy.

the utec can control an electronic boost soleniod so no need for the profec e01. I used to have a profec e 01 then got a utec so all i used from it was the solenoid ditched the controller.

We've tried, and so have a couple other shop associates of mine. Even a race team in England could not get the TXS BCS to function. Maybe another solenoid will work??? Are you saying that you just used the Greddy solenoid?

INterested in that answer... Profec-eo1 I think, what do you think about that Sharif, could you tune better with that or my manual boost controller?

i will have to try boost control on the UTEC, before I can pass judgement.

I would recommend the HKS EVC 5 as that is what I use on my personal car and it does a GREAT job at holding a nice, steady boost. Either the HKS or Blitz SBC iD units are GREAT. I always prefer having the boost controller seprate from the EMS.

Hope this helps.

The company (race team) who did my build could not get the UTEC to control boost, with about 4 different solenoids. They commented that the signal appears to be too weak to fully operate the solenoids.

I ditched it in the end of the Blitz controller, thanks again Sharif!
