G352NV-I appreciate the info a lot man, will come in handy soon.
Laujik-thanks for the kind words, I will keep everybody updated on this istuation I know there are many guys who could/are potentially in my situation.

Pulling the 350Z's trans is really easy. I pulled mine about a year and a half ago in my 1 car garage when I had my townhouse. So I had VERY little room and it was still easy. G352NV covered pretty much everything. The only thing he left out is removing the starter and the slave cylinder, which is also very easy. One other thing. Either drain the fluid out of the trans before you drop it or make sure you don't tip it too far backward when you're pulling it out of the car or you'll have gear lube all over your garage floor. Since you have the Greddy kit and I'm not sure if you have the wastegate relocators, I think you have to remove the wastegates to get to the trans bolts which could be harder than pulling the trans itself.

Damn, I'm somewhat late for this one...
That **** looked harsh man. That **** was supposed to be right so I could take a ride when I get back to the east in November. Dick. At least she went down swinging (again). You just can't keep a car together, can you? Go back to driving the Probe. BTW, did you put those license plates on?
Anyways, get her back up with that gear set so you can break something else... eventually you'll get to the point where there's nothing to break anymore.
Got nuthin' but love for man!

wow.. that sounded pretty violent...
I get the impression that what you need is a dogbox transmission or something with upgraded synchros and straightcut gears if you plan on shifting the car like that...Helical gears and stock synchros are not really designed for the kind of shifting that you engage in, and by shifting so fast and shock-loading the transmission, well... i think we see the results.... But i think you might already know that...
Good luck with the rebuild, but you might want to rethink your technique a bit. It obviously doesn't bode well for longevity at elevated power and traction levels where wheelspin (which releases extra stress) might be harder to come by...

Yeah but knowing what you "could" based off trap speed is silly, its what you actually run that mattters-nothing I hate more than "I run 12.3 @ 121, I could run this but I dont have traction". A quick lift shift is just as good as a powerhsift-well almost imo, so just stick to that. As far as 1-2 grinding could it be your timing?

You can run DR's or slicks on stock axles man-its all in how you do it. Ive broken a lot of $hit but have yet to have axle problems, MANY 6000+rpm' NA launches, many 400whp TN launches and 1 525whp launch no worries. You could launch well and shift "spirited" and still run very respectable times, faster than you think...

Well you have two choices;
Get some decent times and still know at the end of the day, your car should be fine...or go ***** to the walls, rape ape shifting and leave no survivors, and possibly put your cars ***** all over the track =D!!
Side note: Going to be installing new rb25det tranny on my s14 today or tommorow since I think i scatter ****ed my tranny again last night. Atleast this one will hold for whatever i need it for. New clutch felt so good, but transmissions just hate me. Guaranteed when i get my Z, it'll be the first thing to go.
Matt
EDIT: Or just dump loads of cash into your car so its bullet proof.

I think my problem is that in my drag radials (nitto 555 somethingorother) 245 / 45 / 17 I was running 26 psi of air. A friend told me to drop to around 20 or so and I"ll get traction.
