ok, thats no good. but on another note.. i never saw the speedo video of your car and im always complaining on multiple videos that people should do that more often. it gives a better idea of just how fast a car builds speed.. and yet nobody ever does it.

and let me say that after watching yours.. holy crap i want.

Update for you guys following this:

I found the "improved" 009 version of this tranny and I'll be receiving it tomorrow. If all goes well I'll have it in the car this weekend. I am not doing the GTM gearset right now-no comment on that I will not be powershifting this tranny, but will be shifting "quick" lifting throttle. With a few Z's on the verge of running 10's I want to try to be the first full interior, street car (no fuel cell, roll cage, weight reduction, skinnies on the front-sorry Jeremy ) to do it. I only have 1 or 2 more track opportunities to do it before our season in MD is done so we'll see what happens. Pray for my axles

*For anybody looking for ANY Z parts, I want to recommend you a Z owner here in MD who owns a salvage yard. Jon found me a transmission in less than 1 hour, the price is better than anything on car-parts and the tranny is out of an 06' with 344 miles on it His SN is Gooey PM him if you need anything (tranny, axles, motors, whatever) Thanks again Jon!

I thought some guys in brazil have been running 10's for awhile now with full interior, no fuel cell etc? Otherwise as far as anyone knows, you might be the first person to publicly announce you did 10's on this or other Z forums online. A lot of racers don't mess around with forums

I'm not sure about every drag strip's track rules, but don't most tracks require a rollbar or cage if you go faster than 11's?

When I say first I obviously mean in the US within the online community and 6MT. Of course there might be 10 sec Z's street cars, 6MT's etc etc, but if we dont know about them we can only assume. The pass your reffering to was a guy in PR. I never saw a slip of that (not saying he's a liar) I only saw a blurry video. Im gonna try like I said-I may run 12.8 @ 110 for all I know

The track I broke the tranny at is easy going and wont kick you if you run 11.49 or under with no cage. Unfortunately their last Test and Tune is this Friday Sooo I have to go to a "crappy" track where I ran 13.7 stock and 11.9 @ 114 with the TN set-up. I only get 1 shot there as they do kick people out. And then we have 1 other track I run at where a new Z06 recently ran 11.2 stock at, but it is 1.5 hours from my house, and because of the fear of breaking axles, Im not running that far from home. The more I think about it, its likely I'll have a shot at my goals first thing next season....

Mason Dixon has one last Test and Tune this coming Saturday. Day starts at 10:30 and goes to 5:00pm as long as it does not rain. So there you go.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

I might go this saturday aswell.

If you're worried about getting booted just let off at the 1000' and brake or whatever until you're used to the setup enough to go for it. Get the launching how you like it and what not then rip off one full pass and say "screw you guys, i'm going home..." when they come to kick you out.

I know man, but I cannot get this tranny in and put some miles on it by Saturday. Im too busy with other things to do that.

Neal-I thought about doing that, Id just hate to let off of a run that feels good or run through a full pass on what feels good but isnt-you know how it goes.

Anybody have any idea how to tow a 350Z with no front bumper support/tow hook? <---thanks Greddy

Have you done this? Bumper on? My car is low and with the front bumper the angle of the rope/harness would rip off/lift my front end.

Alberto, good luck. Break into the 10's by any means necessary, you have the whole winter ahead of you to save up and get a fully built tranny with the GTM gearset...

I have no f'ing clue, its hard enough getting my car with the tow hook on a flat bed with 2X4's Id hate to see the back-but Im certainly open to any specific suggestions<----This is my only concern. Greddy TT guys who have been towed how did you do it?!

Oleg-thanks man, I doubt Im gonna do the gearset now (for a few reasons) in all honesty if I hit my damn goal Im not drag racing this b!tch again, as I have no more 1/4 goals with this car other than 10.999 and as you can see I break a lot of parts. Moving on to auto-x next season, as I recently attended an event and caught some rides-its way better and faster than what I had always imagined. Time to put my suspension to use.
