Default TT Problems

I'm new to FI and the 350z. I recently bought an 03 track model with a greddy tt kit on it. It runs really good, but sometimes when I get around 5k in 2,3,4 it starts to sputter, almost like it is hitting a limiter. I thought it was the vdc, but it does the same thing either way. Any help will be appreciated.

1st mistake was buying a TT'd Z, seriously. You dont know what the previous owner did with it. Def not a limiter or the vdc. BRING IT SOMEWHERE QUICK TO GET DYNO TUNED WITH A WIDEBAND O2 TO SEE WHATS GOING ON. Could be bad plugs or something related to the ignition.

Yea' I know, but the car is in really good shape. I didn't know the owner personally, but I know the car was well taken care of. I couldn't pass it up. I thought about a sensor also. I will get it dynoed and checked out.

I'll check that too. I just want to check all I can before I take it to the shop. I just don't have the time right now. Thanks.

What engine management is it running? Could just need a little part throttle tuning, hiccups are very common in many cars that havent been tuned very well.

If you don't know to much then that was a BIG mistake on your part. Not flaming you it's just turbos are something you should only have/do when you have enough knowledge about them.

If it is a poor tune then you should consider setting something up at a repible performance shop near you SOON! I don't want to see a blown motor thread in couple weeks because of something that could have costed $300-400. Good luck.

BTW - What PSI is the car running at and what numbers are they producing? Also did the previous owner upgrade any internals? What EMS is running the car right now?

Been in the turbo world for almost a year, and it's a love, hate relationship. 1st motor Blew after retune by ZCG and decided to take another chance. Then ran into in to another issue. Car would lean out and die.... back to ZCG again... car was there for three weeks. Thought it was the MAF replace that... seem to fix the problem. Then found some oil leak and now this.... no other option beside selling the car and cut my lost or build so it's stronger. And no where I can take the car to in the BAY!

Beside the motor blowing up... price was like another 9k with a new motor and reinstalling... oh this is with a "HOOKUP Price", by ZCG!

1st issue cost me an extra 600 buck
2nd issue cost me 140....

I love ZCG... they love Z but they love money more...I'm done with my venting out

Sorry for being off topic or high jack this thread...and thanks for hearing me out. Good Bye!
