Default Never knew owning a TT Z could be this stressful.

Wow, so i finally got my car back from ZCARGARAGE with the new cj motorsports fuel return with rc 650CC injectors. Car was tuned using the unichip and according to rob has a perfect tune. car doesn't run lean or rich. run's just right. but the problem is that alot of the time when i come to a stop or put the car in neutral, it wants to die. rob says that the unichip can't handle my 650CC injectors and it's flooding the motor. any of you guys with big injectors having the same problem? he says it's just a hassle i have to live with and the price i pay to play with these kind of cars. Do you think an F-CON would solve my issues with driveability? i don't know, i guess i'm happy with the power it puts out, it's just the fact that i'm stressed out everytime i see a stop light up ahead. please share your similar experiences and/or comments.

Fcon Vpro will solve that for you while being even MORE drivable when you're just driving normally. Just ask Rob about my car. The Fcon (when in the hands of a great tuner) can be made to handle anything you throw at it...even my 880cc injectors.

But on the downside...it does cost a pretty penny.

I'll take you out for a spin next weekend or something so you can feel it for yourself.

that would actually be real great alex. rob was actually talking about your car, he did say that the fcon and the unichip are apples and oranges. they just don't compare. but yeah, maybe we can set something up so you can give me a ride. that way i'll be seeing whether or not i have to start saving again.

My FCON has idled my 1000cc injectors at 14.5 - 14.8 : 1 A/F for almost 2.5 years now

The UTEC should be able to handle the 650cc shouldnt it? I dont have a ton of UTEC experience, only completely tuned one and tried a quicky tune on another that didnt work out so well. Does Rob tune UTECs?

I also had this same problem even with my 440cc injectors!!! At the time i had the Greddy Emanage Ultimate though.. Changed to UTEC havent had a problem since.. I could even put it in neutral while doing about 60 now, and no stall...... The other thing is, your car is turning off because of the idle. If it(IDLE) gets too low our cars stall automatically.. So try turning up your idle for now by taking it to a dealer and tell them to adjust your drive by wire(Idle). That should do the trick!! Lastly what does your car Idle at now anyways(for ****s and giggles to prove im right)??

oh ya does your car have cams? i had to have the nissan dealer use the CONSULT-II or whatever its called to bump up my idle after the JWT S1 cams to get it to idle good... before that if i let the RPMs fall too fast it would just fly to zero and stall. now its perfect.

sometimes you can try bumping a little timing under your idle RPM so that if it tried to fall it gets pushed back up - back thats really just a minor improvement if you barely have a problem, it wont solve a real issue.

The UTEC will also handle any size injectors you got. However he is not using the UTEC, he is using the UNICHIP, which is hard to get to trim enough fuel for 650cc's. It will trim it, however takes a good scan tool to verify fuel trims at idle.

yeah, rob does tune the utec, but when i asked him if that would solve the problem ,he said that it wouldn't help much, and that he hated using the utecs.

+2 and it can handle my 1000cc injectors just fine. But you may want to bump your idle a bit first.

bump up the idle a bit in the meantime like everyone said.

For those who asked...hes he does have cams. This is the same car that member "marluci7" had...the Scott Performance tuned "700rwhp" beast right before bigbri. Go figure.
