Default Stillen hood clerance...

Ok so I know that the Stillen SC requires additional hood clearance. We all here know how nasty the Stillen hood looks. So my question is to anyone with a Stillen SC or anyone who has had one. Did you just use the ugly hood or did you find another method to allow for the extra room?

I have been thinking of having my OEM hood cut to allow for the extra room. But that also means the blower will sit visible. Now Im sure most will not like how this may possibly look (because as far as I know no one has done it so we dont know what it will look like). In my mind its the look I want to go for, with possibly louvering the hood also for an added accent, but I digress. But along with cutting that much out of the hood could there be any possibility of it effecting the SC in a negative way?

If so then I have a few other ideas in mind...but I'll have to ponder them until I actually get the SC on to see what I really have to work with.

There is a local here in Socal with a G35s that just has a hole cut open on the stock hood. It works, but looks retarded IMO.

Would it be possible to maybe snag me a pic of it or know where some are that I can look at? It is just an idea I have been tossing around. And heck it may even be something I would like. As they say different strokes for different folks. I mean heck I went Stillen SC and Im sure there aren't many at all on these forums that would of recommended that to me just by what I found while I was researching stuff here.

Sorry, I don't have a pic of it. I have seen it running around a few times, but never have met the person or seen them at a meet.

Why in the world is the stillen hood so big when that is all it has to cover. Seems like you could make a shaker style piece (similar but not the same as an old Trans Am).

Cause that is not all there is to cover when you have a Stillen SC. ^^^^ that pic above is of a Titan V8 in a Z, not a Stillen SC'ed Z, where it sticks up more.

I agree, that is the best ref. pic. that I know of, but the Stillen SC sticks up out of the hood alot more than that Titan motor does.

I was actually thinking about the possibility of a shaker style look. Just can't wait to get the kit on to see what I have to work with.
