LOL Better just let the tuner do his job and don't worry about it

no one to blame but himself for not reading more if that's the case or finding a good tuner who knows what they're doing, especially when every kit comes with a default psi for what the manufacturer felt was safe. The greddy kit has even been around longer than any other kit

8.5psi gives a good amount of power with proper timing and has been proven to be somewhat safe on a stock block.

It's a joke with a stock kit I would be scared to go past 6psi, but with all the supporting mods, Fcon, bigger injector ect. 450 whp nothing past that, if it takes 9psi or 12psi to reach that. On a DD dyno or mustang dyno uncorrected. Dyno jets are a joke! I dynoed 470 rwhp on a DJ and the next week dynoed 410rwhp on mustang. Go figure?

Don't start nit-picking posts. You search, You see if You agree with it. Stay ontopic, damnit.

I believe there is a forum here specific to Hawaii, post in there about a good tuner in the Islands - I've seen some badass G's and Z's come from there. You'll be in good hands.

Dynojet is a good dyno and is pretty consistent. All a dyno is, is a tuning tool. Dyno numbers really shouldnt be compared to one another over the internet for bragging rights. You do a baseline on a car, start tuning and you can see your gains, print out a graph with power and a/f chart, and of course tune the car in the comfort of your shop with out going 140mph on the highway

Dyno Dymanics dyno is nice because it is load based and makes it easier to create boost on cars with internal wastegates on the dyno, same thing with dynapack but you also dont have to worry about wheel spin since the dynapack is bolted to the car, also less chance of having an accident.

Again all three of these dynos get the job done and of course all of them are going to read diffrent from each other so the shouldnt be used to compare power but rather to compare gains on a specific car and allow for safe tuning.

If you want to compare "power" between two cars accross the country I would still recommend 1/4 mile times since that will be the most accurate even though there are plenty of other variables involved.

Hope this helps.

I've had about 425whp on a stock block for a year and a half. with race fuel 450whp (I have the utec with map selector) no problems as of yet.(knock on wood) i'm probably gonna build the motor within the year.

What is the weakest link in our motor causing it to not handle that much boost on the stock motor. I just got my vortech installed (used one) and I didn't get it tuned yet and run about 9psi. Ran it hard a couple of times, but gonna wait till I get it tuned so I would feel a lot more comfortable.

Nicely put George. I still think IMO that DJ will read a bit higher than other Dynos just my 2 cents

I agree that a dyno jet will read slightly higher than a dyno dynamics WITH OUT correction. Either way our cars have more power than we know what to do with

BTW have you checked out that new HKS EVC 6, its nice you can adjust boost according to speed and/or throttle and create a map for the boost. You should check it out
