Ok guys, a while back my car had a turbo problem so instead of replacing just the one, I replaced both of them to be worry free. I have a Yamaha Raptor 660 that hasn't been ridden in ages, and so after doing the equivalent of years of maintence, I try to fire it and it starts right up.
Anyways back to my question, I have one of my PE Turbos that's in perfect condition, and I have talked to a fab shop to make some IC pipes and a turbo style manifold. But I need to know which kind of flange I would need for the turbo and where to get it. I can't find one on the internet that looks idencial but I do have some pics. Thanks for your help!

Even got the intake to go with it. It's going to be mounted in the air behind the rider, like a tail.

I'm going to tap into the oil and water lines to keep the turbo cool in the harsh running conditions.

Hmmm me thinks that 1420 is WAY to small for that 660 cc motor. It might not even spool up bro. Unless thats a 660 2 stroke in which case I remove my foot from my mouth now.. As for flanges looks like a fairly standard T2X inlet flange for the turbine inlet.. The outlet flanges also appears to be a T3 style 5 bolt flange. Turbonetics sells one of them. This might work:
20367 Flange, Turb. Discharge T3
20367 Flange, Turb. Discharge T3

I think it should spool. This turbo is pretty small, and it's ball bearing. I'm not worried about spool time, there's lots of rpm room. And if it doesn't spool quick enough, this will help it:
NITROUS

Here's a dyno sheet from a guy that put a T25 on a Honda 400Ex (smaller then a Raptor 660). He got a 100% increase in Rwhp. Assuming we get similar gains, that will put the Raptor somewhere around 70Rwhp. That would be the same as a Z with about 420Rwhp (6 cylinders times 70), but the Raptor only weighs 398 pounds versus the the Z which is about 3300.
That puts the 420Rwhp Z power to weight ratio at 7.8lbs per Rwhp and the Raptor at 5.6lbs per Rwhp.

Was the 400 a two or 4 stroke as that makes a huge difference? And the PE1420 uses a T25 turbine but as far as I recall uses a larger then standard T25 compressor...I'm just worried you'll hit compressor stall.

check out this site click here... (dont think were gonna run an intercooler actually, like the one pictured on that site but the turbo will be in a similar spot) they use a t25 on their raptor and saw huge gains and i thought but might be wrong that the 1420's are even slightly smaller then the t25

Now its time to lower the suspension, extend rear sway arms, and add slicks and skinnies and you have yourself a drag quad.....ooor extend the axles out more and slam it with slicks and you'd have a hell of a unique kart/racer. Eventually you will go on to drop a turbo hyabusa engine in and take your new style of quad-racing public in starting small compititions. Before you know it the sport grows wildly in popularity and for the rest of your now elderly life, you will be known as the Godfather of Quadcross.......Or not.
