Another pathetic attempt at a turbo install..
We had a customer bring us a car to check out that he just purchased from Michigan. The car is equipped with an APS TT kit, and a built bottom end..And was experiencing limp mode conditions, then failed to restart at times. The car threw a few codes:
P0605- ECM Malfunction
P0507- Idle control system
P1564-ACSD steering switch
After about 5 minutes of investigating we found the following things that were completely F'd up.
#1 (and by far the most negligent attempt at a repair we have found to date) Was a blown main fusable link, that was repaired with a piece of 8 guage wire
#2 Crank angle sensor wire unsecured and just hanging.
#3 turbo intake lines loose
#4 Turbo discharge lines loose..
#5 oil return lines leaking
#6 oil overfilled by 1.5 qts
#7 Main seal leaking
#8 Bolts missing in exhaust
#9 Stainless lines unsecured rubbing against rubber lines..
#10 Fuel tank leaking and unsecured properly..
#11 many broken hoses and lines
#12 horns disconected..
These were the main things we found thus far, but this car is a mess...Whoever worked on this car needs to be fired ad neve allowed to touch a 350Z or any car again for that matter. It simple amazes me how some shops operate and how they stay in business with htis type of work comming from their shops..
The car was put together by a shop in Michigan...I simply can not understand how a car like this left their shop like this..

There was a reason the fusible link blew, don't just replace it with a heavier gauge wire! Wow!
That is some crazy work they did.

Maybe, but still; as you know well, fusible links are there for a reason, so that they melt before some other part catches fire, and just replacing it with 8 gauge wire is asking for a future fire
for that reason right there is why my car and my money goes to Jotech. I Have seen shops like that before that do terrible work, get your car running, and then it blows up on the highway driving home and the shop blames you. I feel bad for the past owner i bet that is a expensive *** rust bucket. The guy probaly just gave up, now MRC has it, and that thing will be running like a champ in no time, mail the previous owner a dyno and pictures when its done...

isnt tuning factory on here?
thats a crappy install for sure. Id be pissed if i was the original owner and happy if somone emailed me this so i oculd get my money back for the install.
