You'd have to most likely DESTROY the hood to get it open and what good is it after it's damaged?
Just put a metal sheet to cover it so it looks like part of the exhaust. Problem solved.

Wow einstien, I was referring to a CF hood because once you smashed it you could open the hood and have at whatever you want in the engine bay, including a turbo or SC or anything else your greedy little mind could think of. A CF hatch is even worse. But these things dont discourage people from buying CF parts out the ***.

You are a quick one

Wow..someone could steal my Air filters, my blow off valve..hell maybe even my oil dipstick. All of those things pull some big bucks at the local swap meet. I don't even have a carbon fiber hood but I could easily pry my stock hood open in about 10 seconds with a crowbar...so WTF is the difference?

The fact is you have to break into the car to steal anything like that and thiefs typically won't try to steal things that they can't SEE.

Thiefs don't just break into random cars on the assumption that their "might" be something worth stealing very often. Things that are visible are much better, and sure targets...and hmm...a rear mount turbo is very visible and you don't have to break into the car to steal it.

I was e-mailing Joe at STS about the 350Z kit. He was telling me that the best thing to do with this kit is to stop all exhaust modifications...that means no headers, test pipes, or aftermarket exhaust systems. They have designed all their kits to run off the stock exhaust systems for all their vehicles. I don't think you'll have to worry about water and other things. On their site they have videos of Tacomas with the STS kit on them running through bogs and mud and the turbos were perfectly safe. Also, all the oil lines andeven intercooler piping will be hidden through the frame of the car like how the C6 install was done. I have been waiting for a response too from STS on this kit since November. They're really hard to get a hold of, but I'm sure they're going to have one hell of a kit for the Z.

If it ever comes out. They had one for an Integra which was canned.

Yes they finished it. Notice it's not on their website. The safe assumption is looking elsewhere with your money because it is not offered.

hahahahaha and here i was just logging on to the site to check my pm's. I own the car that STS is putting the turbo kit in. I live in Utah so when it rains/snows I drive my other cars.

And I dont think it would be possible for anyone to steal the turbo from MY car hahahahaha......im more worried about thieves taking the whole car then stealing the turbo
