Default ATI Procharger for a daily driver

I just bought the ATI PC, and i have my Z has a daily driver. I was wondering if anyone here has it on their daily driver and if it is holding up with no problems and how it is.

lots of people daily dive the ATI kit with no issues. Most have nothing but good things to say about them other than some people switched to twin turbo because they wanted to go for really big power that the ATI wasn't going to be able to give them

Some people say they're very very loud though

Mine was extremely loud to begin with. But after about 5K miles, it wasn't nearly as loud. I drove mine every day for 2 years with no problems at all. Lost one belt due to my own stupidity. I put almost 20K miles on it before I sold the car. It was a blast.

Just make sure you add the correct components for tuning. You need to figure out how you are going to get some timing retard in there and a clean fuel tune.

I have installed the ATI PC and the Vortech system; in some ways I like the ATI better. I thought it was an easier fit in the engine bay. The bracket had a lot of flex but I don't believe it would be an issue until you planned on changing pullies and upping the boost.

The ATI made a lot less noise then both the Vortechs I installed.

yeah i guess it depends on what noises we're talking about. The vortech's BOV is louder than ATI's I think. At stock idle, the vortech makes all sorts of rattling and wobbling sounds that the ATI probably doesn't. The ATI is a little higher pitched than the vortech I think

Oh i am installing all the necessary things to be safe, thats a given. Does pulley size have anything to do with issues? like has anyone heard of more issues with a 14lb pulley VS a 9lb pulley?

weird question. 14lb pulley on stock internals and car will more than likely go boom

or break a belt
or bend the bracket too much for the belt to line up properly

I ran the ATI for 22,000 trouble free miles, on the stock pulley and internals. It was a blast. Traded up to a built motor and TT for the track. But for the street, it is a good solid unit if you tune it conservatively and watch your belt tension.

Just wondering why you would buy a kit without doing any research on it first?

I did do research. But the only way to find out about the kits durability over time as a daily driver is to ask the people who have dealt with it obviously.

Default ATI in winter

Does anyone have any experience with running Procharger in winter temps? I'am considering this kit for my daily driver car, however our climate is generaly wet and gets really cold sometimes (it was -2F just three weeks ago).
