My stock block on the APS ST finally gave up. Was good while it lasted (445rwhp/505 tq @ 10psi), and doing a quick run down the back country road yesterday, she spun a bearing (I believe). I beat the **** out of her for 2 years, and I'm surprised it lasted this long.
She still runs, but it certainly sounds like something is trying to beat its way out of the block, so I've parked it before I poke a hole in the block.
I guess this forces my hand to go with a built motor setup or stay with a stock block setup...

Damn. I've been silently following your car on the boards for a while now. You sticking with the APS ST? It's definitely capable of putting down more power with the right supporting mods and a built engine...
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks for the kind words; yes, I'll stick with the APS ST setup. This Spring's attack-plan is a built block that can breath a little easier with cams, plenum and a new external wastegate setup. It'd be nice to see 500 rwhp by Summer's end.

You must of had a very lean A/F tune in order to get that much rwhp out of a APS ST on a stock block. If I'm not mistaken there are guys with APS TT running the same boost and only doing those types of #'s. Am I missing something here!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that...
You've been so quiet in the 350z forums lately, I thought you sold your car.. HAHAH~ Glad to hear that you are sticking with APS ST!! Although my stock engine is doing just fine, I bought an extra short block and it's at GTM for the stage 0 build, which I recommand it to you as well~ I wasn't strong like you.. I gave in and sold the APS ST to my buddy.. I'll be steppin' up to TT world. Good luck!

might want to pull it apart to see if your block is still good. a spun bearing destroys the block also. but if it is just a bent rod bairily nicking the inside of the block, you may be able to salvage it, or if the bearing spun on a rod, you may be able to turn the rod journal down to clean it up.
