Default Reducing oil pressure to TN Turbo.

I don't know if anyone has done this yet but after getting my Z looked it we are thinking that my higher oil pressure 60psi normal and 90 psi high RPM may be one of the issues that is forcing oil into the downpipe. The Turbo will probably be sent off in a month or so to get rebuilt but is there any way to reduce the pressure anymore than normal to prevent this happening again? This started after I got my built motor in and I have the Rev up oil pump if it matters.

Do not do this. Turbonetics does not recommend running any form of restrictor in front of their turbos. I agree if the 60 and 90 PSI numbers are cruising and WOT then thats not uncommon.

How long has this be doing this, as far as you know and what are the total miles on the turbo? You might just need to go for the rebuild and go from there.

What line size are you using since you can go down a size depending on what size and PLEASE do not use a restrictor on the turbo.

Im using the standard feed line and AAM return line. I have had the Turbo since October 2005 but only 12K miles on it.

Any resolution if having the return to a spacer could be causing too much back pressure? I am thinking of ditching the spacer and tapping the upper pan. I remember reading that JET didn't see any difference. Also could the crappy break in oil be a culprit?

How accurate would you say our stock oil pressure gauge is?
