Default Fuel smell with the CJ Fuel System.....

Guys I have the CJ Motorsports Fuel System. Can anyone please post a pic on how to connect it with the fuel feed line?

I connected it but there is a fuel smell in that area, and when I run the car a bit the pressure drops allot. is it the heat from the turbo?
I have the Greddy TT kit.

Thanks

It is not because of the turbo, it is just a hard joint to get sealed but it could also be fuel dripping down from the regulator connections.

Turn the fuel pressure on and with the car on a lift or at least jacks check the connections very closely, make sure you used sealing tape and tighten the hell out of the connections.

Light a match and see where you get a flame.

j/k.

Fuel can evaporate fast, but if you can smell it from a certain area than most likely a connection is not tight enough.

there is no sealing tape needed on any of the connections on this kit.

MOst likely, you need to apply more muscle to the hard pipe-to-AN adapter. I had a small leak that I couldn't fix. I bought a couple long handled wrenches so that I could get more torque on the fittings. it worked!!!

also, check all the other fittings too. I used a paper towel to wipe around each fitting to see if there were any small leaks. I had a couple small ones.

the hardpipe adapter takes a ton of torque to seal because the compression ferrule is made of steel. Its a common call that I get that is always corrected with more torque on the compression fitting. If you still have a problem after that, give me a call or PM.

You can read up on the hardpipe adapter install here: http://www.cj-motorsports.com/s1install.htm

If you have any pics of your install, feel free to share and I can tell you if I see anything odd.
