hehe weird glitch

either way, a bigger stroke will spool up a turbo sooner which is important when you're dealing with bigger than normal turbos.

For everyone else, having more low/mid range power at the very least usually makes it a better powerband than the stock 3.5

Just saw the thread, and just arrived in So Cal to visit the folks. I was hoping to catch your car at GTM but you picked it up yesterday.

+1 on picking reliability over the "Dyno queen" gig. Congrats on your car finally being done!

How much more does the 4.2 stroker kit rotating assembly weight more than the stock rotating assembly? Stuff like that will keep the power down, but surely reliability will be very high. Nothing is wrong with the stock crank, it should hold that kind of power with no problems. The stroker with a larger rotating mass and lower compression may not make that much more power than a stock engine.

Thanks guys. It's undescribably smooth to drive on the street despite all the power.

I've always been meaning to ask you. I read in another one of your threads that you hook in third...how much rear camber do you have? I can't hook until 5th if I floor it.

-2.0 degrees at all 4 corners on KDW2's. It has to be above 70 degrees for me to hook in 3rd, I can peddle through sencond with some wheelspin but not completely lose traction. 3.3 FD is nice.

Power means nothing if you cant put it down

least camber I can get is -2.2 degrees without camber arms. Running on T1R's. I have the 3.3FD as well.

Yeah I told Sam that I wanted more power than traction would allow, so I can control it with my right foot instead of having the car limit my power.

At what power levels do you spin through 4th gear with the 3.3FD?

Only time I spin in 3rd and sometimes 4th is when its 40 or colder out.

hehe, this is just me, but IMO I'd prefer to have more traction than power because I don't want to always have to be thinking of keeping the tail in line and the car on the road. I'd rather be focusing on what's coming up ahead and where I should brake or turn etc

The power on that car is staggering though man. That'd crush anything on the street

low boost it would start spinning a bit starting around 5k rpms in 4th. And it's been pretty warm here as well...about 75-80 degrees during the day.

You need better tires man. Your about 20whp higher than me in low boost compared to my 15psi setting, and with weaksauce KDW2's (there are MUCH better choices out-look into summer tires) I hook from a 60-70mph roll in 3rd, that feeling is incredible. Im only running 285's, next time Im doing 305's and a summer compound I guarantee full traction in 2nd.

Werd. I remember when I chirped third constantly and chirped 4th a few times, I thought that was crazy. I can't imagine not getting traction until past 5th lol.

I hate wheelspin in 3rd gear and up. There is nothing cool about having the car go sideways at nearly 100mph, then suddenly catching traction sending you in a direction you dont want to go, i.e. offroad. If I feel spin coming on in 3rd I let out of it. Couple of times in cold temps I have grabbed 4th gear quick and when I let the clutch out = wheelspin, its nasty.

+1

I constantly have to modulate the throttle to push that fine line between traction and no traction. Getting better at it now.
