Although i do feel that posting the pm from Sam is kind of disrespectful towards Sam's wishes, I like the fact that there are no "cover ups". I hate it when someone tries to keep someone else's dishonesty or *** ups a secret. This isn't kindygarden where we keep school yard secrets.

 

I shouldn't have posted his pm, but I felt it will help others determine the truth of the story which is why I posted it.. At least it shows it is not me just ranting about SGP because I am difficult customer. No one on here knows if I am telling the truth, but Sam's pm adds some credability to my story.

 

I understand the point of the thread to notify the community of a bad experience SGP and I agree with that. Posting the information from Sam gives a lot of good detail about what the issues were with the car.

Does not matter now. Cat is out of the bag and Gman2004 is going to bat for the rest of us.

I go to Forged as well. Since you're there a lot why don't you ask Sharif about the work Mark did on my car? He can give you details about the jigga rig that my Mark did on my car. Sharif also helped Sam tune it.

I know when i read that it totally changed my opinion on the whole ordeal. At first it started off sounding like a pissing match between you and Mark, but when you posted that up It became very clear what the truth of the matter was. I really appreciate you coming forward with all of this info because i was just a couple of months a way from going to SGP for a Greddy TT kit and Install. I was totally sold on them due to their reputation and the fact that it was sort of close to me, but that has all changed.

 

Most likely, Sam already knew, Gman was going to put him on blast anyways. Sam knew before hand, what the topic was about. If he didnt want to be part of it, then Sam shouldnt have given Gman a reply.

 

Gman..I'm on your side because I had my own bad experience with SGP.Remember the saying "*** me once,shame on you ..*** me twice,shame on me..I don't know if your serious about this "real deal" but I think your better off dealing with Sharif or someone else you trust. You must of been out in the hot sun all day when you made this post...I forgive you..lol

 

that's why sam didn't post in this thread. however, it's sam's duty as to keep his customer in check with whatever information is needed regarding the car. it says "for your eyes only..." for a reason.

 

i dont know about all that, if they keep doing good things for your car on a project this big and you hear stuff about them and what not, why change? they're doing a great job on your car...that's what i was saying. so that will never happen huh? that makes me giggle, cuz all three of the top guys take care of eachothers problems a lot more than you think, of course you're not going ot hear it though cuz you can't see what people don't want you to see! that's what i was getting at and dont say you would go somewhere else kenneth, lol you're a die hard shop fan just like me homie!

Cody, I haven't had 1 shop touch my car since I have owned it. All the work done to it was by yours truely.. However, I will leave the really hard stuff to GTM as they are the professionals. Sam and Co. has helped me out on numerous occasions with my car, sent me stuff for FREE probably have logged a few hours of phone time with them and to this point have made $0 dollars off this pole.. But when the time comes to go big, there is only 1 place to take my car.. Period.. Their track record speaks for themselves and you will not see any bashing of them on these forums. I am sure if someone does in fact have a problem they take care of them no questions asked and not with free plenums...

exactly! some people are going to complain no matter what shop they go to... but, in jorge's case it's nothing like that... he was utterly screwed and he spent a great deal of money with SGP... the reason i believe that this will be damaging to SGP's business is because of all of the people coming forward to tell their stories of ill experience with this shop... all of the people saying that this won't hurt SGP's business truly do not know the power of the internet or of this forum...

and to all of you who read the stories and take them with a "grain of salt" and head to that shop, all i can say is good luck... your odds of being happy with their work seem to be getting slimmer and slimmer if you calculate the percentage of satisfied vs. unsatisfied... hopefully sharif or sam will have room for ya!

 

The problem with doing a poll of satisfied vs. unsatisifiedfor any company that people bash here on the forums is impossible. How many people out there are dropping serious money on their cars and never go on a forum? I personally know a TON! The guys that are on the forums are just more likely to tell their horror stories. If everyone who modded their cars had to come on here and say stuff then I would definately say that good and bad should all be posted.

You know it is like when I used to work in Food and Bevereage and people ALWAYS *****ed and moaned about the bad things and you never heard anything good. I think most people that get what they want go on their way and never look back.

 

Years ago people on twinturbo.net used to swear by SGP, these days since Kyle left and started his own@ www.importpartspro.com, no one on tt.net in their right mind will take their lawn mower there. There have been numerous posts abt SGP and it got so bad that they no longer are a vendor on that website. They didn't even go to the ZCon in Dallas last year at all.

Bad news travel very fast ( look at my earlier post in this thread ). You guys should run a search on Supraforums

FWIW, I believe that GMAN speaks the truth or is factually correct at least because his story almost reads like mine.

Remember, bad news moves faster than good news and you guys should think twice about taking your Z or G to SGP for performance work. Mark can do good work but the shops quality of work and Mark's customer service sucks for the charges that we as customers are paying.

If I needed heart surgery and I was expected to pay top prices for the procedure, I want to be operated on by someone with decent / good bedside manners and had few customer compliants.

Be forwarned ... people are posting issues for a reason ...
