turning it in makes the valve close SOONER.
turning it out makes the valve close LATER.
how that relates to producing more boost i'm not sure. I just left it alone.

Pharm, it sounds like you need to add a blowoff valve in your intake piping for surge protection. That will set you up to a certain PSI that it won't go over. If you are worried about surging past 17psi then set the blowoff valve to 17psi. You will leave the bypass valve in place so it does the normal function.
You shouldn't be getting too much surge with a supercharger setup since it's tied directly to crank speed.

so if he wants to stay WOT and keep it from blowing past 17psi then he needs a blow off valve or a wastegate that opens at 17psi.

the BPV closes under load and stays that way until you're off the throttle. It doesn't open back up when reaching a certain PSI like a blow off valve. A blow off valve is a pressure relief valve that stays closed until a certain PSI then it opens up to release excess pressure.
so if he wants to stay WOT and keep it from blowing past 17psi then he needs a blow off valve or a wastegate that opens at 17psi.

they are using the standard BPV at 19psi at 800+ hp. Could you imagine 500+ ft-lbs at 3500 rpms with a supercharger..

that photo shows and explains they use a TIAL wastegate along with the vortech BPV to keep the boost at a safe pressure.

I have a revup...I've run with the 2.87 pulley on my stock block for more than a year ~20k miles, no problems engine wise; I even tracked it a few times...I have upgraded my blower, so I don't know how much longer it'll last...
But if you're happy with ~380 whp then stick with the stock 3.12 pulley on the revup and be super safe...
Let me add a disclaimer: each engine is probably a little different, so I couldn't guarantee a safe setup with any FI...I've had good luck with my engine, non-oil burning from the start and still running strong...

I tighten the belt about one full to one and a half turn. The belt squealed during cold startbut only for about 30 second. It did not squeal when I left work tonight but only saw 4psi for a second. Afraid to get it to tight
