I'm not sure anyone has any data of dyno pulls with then without it on a boosted engine. It's going to flow better than oem but unless you are maxing out the cams, heads, exhaust system you won't need that extra flow. I think those things are what, 1300$? You can get much more for your money in other places.
If you are buying it just for looks in the engine bay then kudos. Buying it for an increase in power then you are spending way too much for the amount you will get back. I'd do cams/headers and even head porting before worrying about a cosworth.

I was just curious on the dyno, I don't think I've ever seen one with a Vortech.
Did you ever run e85 on your Vortech setup?

Yeah they are pricey. Exhaust wise, I'm going to be running momentum headers, berk tps, and the Greddy turbo tic. I've got a plenum spacer on it now, so maybe spend the money on cams / springs instead.

No e85. My vortech wasn't on the built engine very long before i went turbo.

Man i almost called you weekend of the 15th. I did drive the beast home. I had a dirty fuel system issue. I ran two cans of BG44k, the fuel one, and she runs like a champ!. So im seeing 15/16 psi now so ill add the 2.62 pulley and drop it back down to 7100 to play it safe? Are sure about float with a rev up at 7500 rpms? Although they have a few motors (non rev ups) to 7100 / 7200 with no problem.
I have a revup built 8.8 comp T Trim but i hear i do not have race bearings in blower because i upgraded my S blower to T. Next bearing swap ill ask to upgrade since im spinning her hard. Sept 12 i have appt for Final Tune! Shooting for 500 at around 17 psi!. No belt slippage yet, thank you rev up motor n kit!

you should have called!
****, i forgot you have rev up. Those already rev to 7100 so going higher shouldn't be an issue. No way could i confirm that a non-rev will float at 7500rpms but being that stock springs are very soft they would have a tendency to float at some point over the designed normal rev limit. I would just keep reving to 7500 if i was on the rev up then.

Dropping it off at hills garage soon, they are soo fregging busy, its like 20 out for an oil change! Which is good I duess. Next up is the new 2.62 pulley and another look at cam and crank sensors, had we known this much psi and boost with an 8.8 compression engine, we could of easily upgraded springs when we built the block. Lol.
Also i put the stock headers back on, so maybe i should put long tubes on to lower the boost a bit. Test pipes and fast intensions true dual has very little back pressur so....that was the driver with the lower compression and stock headers.
Im happy as it is so more hp is sooo optional. Shifting at 6900 still enabled the new 5000lb v12twin turbo 600+hp cl amg to eat Falken 305/25/20 rubber bits on the track. I can live with that.

ok i have problem thats been goin on two weeks, mabye one of you can help me out, car started stumbling at idle and bogging when given gas thru gears but does magically go away at times...a/f goes 17+ then off guage...at first it would clear its self up and run fine, but its gotten to the point that i cant drive car, if i do it will act up more then run right, at cold start it starts right up everything looks good, once warms up and idle gets to around 1k it starts stumbling and a/f slows goes up 14..15...16....17 car almost stalls, then it catches itself revs and does it over again...i had one guy over that had 12000 scanner and there were no codes and he thought it was plugs or throttle body since he couldnt get a reading on tb test, i changed both and no luck, brand new plugs and tb with sensor, any ideas?
vortech 3.12 tuned on ssbox, has been running perfect for over a year.
oh and it will clear up on occasion but comes back
