Advice needed...
soon im gonna have enough money to purchase another turbo kit... but i was thinking do u guys think i should build my motor instead then wait till i ahve enough to turbo it?. or buy a turbo kit and build later.. this is really buging me. i had an aps st kit and loved it till i sold it to support my sportbike addiction. but that ended (not in a good way) so im back into modding my car again. idk if i should go greddy tt or aps st again.. i like how complete my aps st kit was, and synth is getting some great numbers out of it. so it will be usefull if i build... i love the greddy kit also, but that would cost me triple to make complete. so heres my options..
option 1..
get aps st kit low boost, then build and raise boost. when im ready hopefully reaching 500 whp or close to it..
option 2..
build now, wait a long time to save up and go greddy twins and reach the 500whp mark
option 3..
build now, then go aps st high boost , wait half the time less than i would in option 2 cause it would be cheaper
option 4..
get greddy kit.. wait long time to build cause greddy kit will be more and i wouldnt be able to afford a build anytime soon
im leaning towards option 1... advice is apreciatted
my car before....

then sold everything for these...

then this happened...only one pic of injury but there was allot more

and now my bikes sold im back and need advice..

thanks for ur time...

yah, option 3 build first and then single turbo, high boost. that a$$ burns look pretty blistered. I just got my hand burned last week and the first night was almost unbearable, but yours, I dunno what I would do.

tell me about it. the worst part was when i had to go to a doctor for a check up and he got this lil pick that looks like a tiny ice cream scoop tool thats sharp and he had to shave all the skin and concrete stuck, till he got to healthy skin.. worst pain i felt in my life and trust me i felt allot.. he stuck liek 10 needles in my *** to numb it but that barely did anything...
Build first, then boost according to budget... By then, there will be more options available and prices on older GReddy kits will likely drop. Also, APS ST kits are great, but need a ton of work if considering high boost options (sump pump, ext. wg, ems, complete frs, etc.). Top quality parts for an engine build can run roughly $3k. A machine shop to bore/balance the block is about $400-$500. So for $3500 you can build a block capable of hitting 500rwhp all day. Add in a boost solution when you've got the right funds (roughly $7k average) and you're there...
Just my
Oh, and the road rash pic had me wincing. Been there, done that too..

Option 4
Or may I suggest option 5: Build and install Greddy TT later!! Do it all at once, you will have to wait but it will be worth it and save you $$$ in the end over turbo now, build later. I wouldnt build now and drive a boosted motor low comp motor with no boost-thats worthless miles on a good expensive motor IMO.

If you can save $$$ by means of process and get it all done at once, then def. go that route. Driving around on a low compression built motor won't hurt anything, but it'll lose a little power over stock. In any case, good luck and keep us posted on your decisions

realizing that if you do a built motor, and wait on the turbo, you will lose (compared to stock) power until you install the turbo, due to compression ratio etc. and i wouldnt advise on driving a built motor set up for fi, without f/i in it.

I did a ST to "get me by" hoping Id never have an issue so I could run stock block and about 400whp. Well that lasted 3000 miles and I lost $$$ cuz I had to sell the kit take a loss on that and buy a TT. Do it right the first time if you want more power later after you save $$ or after you blow up or dont do it at all. In other words, dont go ST "for now"...Take it from me.
Didn't the aps single kit on the Z in the latest Turbo mag make 500whp. I'm pretty sure it was the turbo mag. I agree with Alberto. I have the TN ST now and am waiting to get a built motor but I'm gonna switch to the greddy kit and will lose money on my TN kit when I sell.
I told you to be careful on that bike dude.. You're lucky you just got that. Hope everything goes OK.
A local friend here is in a coma for more than a month now for riding on a crotch rocket.
As for FI, go for what Alberto recommends.

So why not drive a built motor w/out FI?
